The food is good but the service here is absolutely terrible. First of all, if you’re white they won’t give you any hot sauce because it’s “too spicy for you.” Like, WOW, how would THEY know what level of spice I can handle? *I* will tell *YOU* what’s too spicy for me. Second, they literally ignore your order to make stuff for people who came in after you because they’re friends or something. I have literally waited 20+ minutes for 2 tacos here because their family with a giant order came in right after. That spicy avocado hot sauce tho is really tasty. This place is just a couple blocks from Los Paisanos tho, they’re 1000% better service AND food.
Awesome tacos. Not only was the food awesome, the service was great and you could understand them and they could understand you. Some Mexican restaurants the employees can not understand you and in others you can't understand them. This is huge in the restaurant business because one word you think you heard or didn't hear could mess up an entire order or table.So overall great place to go and check out if your hungry they are open really late.
I know normally it’s takes them 20min to cook something. Today they gave my order to the wrong person. He came back with the food and told the staff he had touched it. Staff took it back, and they put in a “new” order. But less then five min, they gave me my order. When I opened it up. All the food was terribly mixed together. So I’m pretty sure I’m they gave me the order that the other person took and touched ??
Worst customer service I ever experienced going to a Latino restaurant they bilingual people working. Food was like the experience. I usually enjoy them but one bad experience is all I need to spend my money else where.
So where do I start I am a real mexican and this is trash hurrache is more like dry rotted shoe menudo taste like oriental flavor. Tacos a are dry
I did have a post last night, loving this restaurant and wanted to communicate better with English.After eating my meal of chicken bureto; I had more rice and lettuce, beans than I did chicken. I actually made me nauseous.This is the third time eating there but the 1st time the food was not good. It was like chewing plastic. Some of the lettuce was not digestible.Disappointed spending $42 for 2 beef and 1 chicken bureto with hardly any mean. Maybe because of shortage of supplies?A restaurant only gets one time to mess with my stomach ?.I won't order those ever again.I asked for the elote in a cup. Didn't get it like I had it before and not alot of the fixings either.I asked several times for 2 orders of plantains. Didn't get it,it wasn't added on and now I didn't want it. ? I am very disappointed with the whole experience yesterday Sunday evening after 7:30pm.Just lost a customer ?
Best late night food, hands down. Open late, love the tacos and the alambre. Only place I go on the weekend
We come all the way from Wisconsin and never fail to stop to Los Ocampos. Their tortas are delicious along with their green salsa
I called in to make a to go order. They told me my food would be ready in 1 hour (WTH, it's around 10:30am, I know it isn't that busy). I get there in 1 hour, my food isn't even ready yet. They said 5 more minutes. They are just now making it... The food is not as flavorful as it used to be either, such a shame. Will have to find a new spot for Mexican food around my area.
Save your time and avoid this place. The staff is super rude and unhelpful. They take really long to have your order ready (even on not busy days) and the flavor is definitely not worth the rude experience and the wait. But hey try at your own risk…
