I’ve been coming to this Sencha and the Woodbury Sencha for almost 7 years now and have always preferred their Chai to anyone else. The last few times I’ve been to either location the chai both iced and as a shake have had so much cinnamon in them that the drink is almost unbearable. I don’t know if with new management they changed the recipe or what happened but it has been a super disappointing change :(

I ordered a chai shake and after the first sip, I was coughing like crazy. There was so much cinnamon in it I felt like I was drinking from the spice shaker.

Tried to come into the store two weeks ago or so, and there was a sign on the doors saying that all the employees quit due to mistreatment. Came back yesterday, and I regret it. It was very dirty and very slow. They rearranged the entire store. They do not sell merch any more. Staff was unnecessarily rude. Tea was watery. Disappointed and will not be coming back.

The service was quick and attentive, which is why I gave two stars. I ordered a Chai Latte, which turned out to be Instant Chai Powder and water, I believe it was Oregon Chai brand. This is what I would expect at a random restaurant or not a good coffee shop, for a Tea store I think this is unacceptable. I will not be visiting again.

Very few options for boba in Saint Paul. Reviews seemed good so I decided to give this place a try. Ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba. Tea was watery and boba was undercooked. Walked in hopeful, walked out frustrated and unsatisfied. A generous two stars because the loose leaf tea list is impressive and they probably can’t eff that up, right?

The staff are great and the options are plentiful- I especially love the fun little shop with cute erasers and whatnot. I have to be honest though that the boba is hard and un-flavorful and I find the tea to be watery. I want to love it, but I historically have felt disappointed with my drink.

I had a wonderful time sipping a banana tea shake with tapioca pearls at Sencha, surrounded by unique, local artwork and amidst a diverse collection of people enjoying beverages and living out their own stories. The staff member was kind, polite, and helpful, patient as we navigated the menu and process, and the drinks were quickly prepared and deliciously flavorful. What a nice place! What a beautiful life. ?

The best coffee, shakes & tea !! I love a chai cooler with extra shots of lavender and vanilla and my son loves the cantaloupe ? tea or cooler with the popping pearls sooo good!! For kids who love slushies this is a healthy alternative

Emily at this location is such a queen! She made my tea drinking experience really fun, also love that they have So many tea options. Such a cute place, highly recommend :-)

Cute store.I think the tea was a bit bitter. Boba is alright. They also sell stickers and pictures and other stuff.
