LOCATION: 4/5 Very close to other restaurants. AMBIENCE: 5/5 Maybe one of the best environment to dine in. FOOD CHOICE: 5/5 Plenty of choice on the menu. FOOD TASTE: 3.5/5 Ordered 6 dishes for the family and the best tasting dish is the sour wonton appetizer. Main dishes were substandard at best. Even the dinky restaurants served better tasting dishes. PRICE: 3/5 a bit pricey compared to the surrounding eateries. SERVICE: 4/5 The server brought us plates and spoon but not forks or chopsticks. We practically have to beg for them. Can this happen? CLEANLINESS: 4/5 Chinese restaurants usually have smelly BR but this is actually well kept. OVERALL IMPRESSION: 4/5 The cook could spice up the foods a bit to get my 4.5 RETURN? I will try other nearby restaurants first before returning to this restaurant.
The service was great. The food was decent. I feel like the food just doesn't taste the same as I remember it from its old location. It just did not have the "wow" factor. The hotpot dish was a little disappointing. It did not taste as good as it looked. The other dishes were fine. Overall I may or may not come back to this place. I definitely like Rose garden more. Overall, great customer service and decent food.
This is the best chinese restaurant me and my sister have ever been to. Our waitress and everyone we came in contact with on staff were very kind and efficient! The food looked great and tasted superb and came out quickly. Great portion sizes. We were helped right away. Prices are affordable. Menu is huge but not a problem. I will be coming back and inviting everyone else to come as well. The entire atmosphere, staff interaction, and experience was simply amazing
They've moved to a new location a couple years ago. The new location offers perhaps the most stylish Chinese palatial setting of any Chinese restaurants in the Twin Cities. The flavors of their dishes have actually become somewhat even more authentic since their move. The lobster and crab stir fried in ginger and scallion are superb. As good as any you can find in the Chinatowns in north America. We also love the steamed fish. Service is excellent as before. If you are not sure of what to order from their amazingly large menu selection, you can always ask for the set banquet dinners. They're the chef's pick for 4, 6, 8 or 10 people Peking Garden Family Specials.
Great place. Always friendly. Excellent food. Always great customer service!
I went on a week night with my girlfriends. And this place surprised me in a good way. It just looks like a boxed place from outside but when you enter you are greeted with water fountains and pond. one has to walk over a tiny bridge to come to the seating hall. This place , even bathrooms, were so darn clean. Food was good and portions size was huge. Many asians came with huge groups here. Weekends are crazy busy to try hitting this place on a weeknight to get a good parking. There spice level is very low. A great place for sea food lovers.
Everything is delicious but pricey. We have the dinner for 6 plus chicken wings appetizer. Price have change over 2 years ago. Have a yummy eating here.
Great experience and superior food. Environmental family friendly and welcoming. Clean and mint. Waitress english is good. Very nice water fountain pond view but little fish.
Ordered take out and was told food would be ready in 15 minutes. When we arrived to pick it up our order was indeed ready and waiting hot for us! The veggie fried rice was fantastic and the chicken congee was the best I've ever had! Also definitely recommend getting the sweet doughnuts. Loved this spot and can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend giving this spot a try
Two stars because our previous visit was quite good. Second visit on a weekday mid afternoon and the restaurant was very quiet. Server took orders. Took quite a while to get our food. Egg rolls came and were pretty good. More waiting and then the mains came. My order was not hot! Almost cool. Server who left the orders never came back to check on us until he finally came with the check. Guess who didn't get a tip.
