My first visit here was quite something! The broasted chicken (and accompanying potatoes au gratin) was excellent and bountiful! My companion said the Sicilian dago was very good, and the tap beers were of a wide selection. Service was very good--on a crowded lunch time. I'll be back!
I grew up in Saintpaul & have eaten at Obb'sfor over 20 yrs . Unfortunately it has gone downhill. Anywhere from 3 to 15 minutes depending on where you're seated. Food portions have changed & coming out of the pandemic the quality is below average now. Clearly they are struggling with staffing across the board. Alot of people are issues with the food making them not feel so well after eating some alot worse than others.We have decided not to return, it's not enjoyable evening if your up all night relieving yourself from your last supper.With the price more increases the service & quality should increase as well sadly enough not the case. Honestly it's too bad I wish them the best & hope they get back up on their feet again & provide their customers the dining experience they are paying them for.
Friday night fish fry. Took about 40 minutes to get seated, no reservation,once we got seated we were eating in less than ten minutes. Service was great.
Very busy on a Saturday and ended up being seated in the lower level. Our server was fantastic and I'm sorry I don't remember her name Food was great as usual.
Obb's does just as their neighborhood customers want. They don't serve trendy bistro foods. They do serve basic foods for a good price.Burgers and fish sandwiches with fries and onion rings were our choices. They were tasty enough and the price much cheaper than any other bar and grill around town.Interior could use some updating...but no one else seemed to mind
I had not been here for about 40 years. I was so surprised to see it was no longer a little hole in wall bar. I went for the Friday fish fry which was reasonable and good. I want to go back and try other items on their menu
Great food, relaxed atmosphere.
Been there twice now. Service was pretty rough both times. The waitress we had tonight might have been the worst waitress I’ve ever had. Went for the fish fry and she only checked on us once. Didn’t come back to the table until we had gotten up and started to leave. The fish was soggy and way too greasy. Much better fish at your average VFW.
