This place is honestly one of the best ice cream sandwich places. First you pick out your cookie, then you tell them what kind of ice cream you want. Then you pick a topping for your ice cream to get rolled in. You can choose to have your cookies hot pressed which makes them even yummier. 5 out 5 highly recommend this place. Love this spot, love it so much, hope it continues to succeed! Can you please make the cookies a litttle better, they are actually the worst cookies I’ve ever had, I love y’all so much could you still make this small change and have cookies that were made within the last week ? seriously love y’all, 5/5 but please this isn’t right ?Ps my grandma makes “reduced” sugar cookies for my diabetic grandpa and they are equivalent or better than the cookies from nelliesPps best ice cream! Wonderful service! Good prices! Still go here!!!
This place is great. Make your own ice cream sandwiches, your way. Tons of options. Pretty walkable in the Mac-Groveland area, but generally also street parking out front.
For a start I deposited $500 to test the waters, within 5days I got a return of $2,700 he's diligence and honesty is undeniable thanks alot Mr Pedro Virote
Some soccer teammates and I came after a game. The size and proportions are gigantic! You definitely get your money’s worth. The downside it is a cash only which wasn’t really displayed in front of the entrance - which would’ve been nice. The line wasn’t extremely long and they took a little while with our order. Customer service was fine and the ice cream was great! More vegan options would’ve been nice.
Cute little ice cream shop focused primarily on building your own ice cream cookie sandwiches. Ice cream cones and bowls/cups are available if you prefer as well. Not too many frills or gimmicks, just a good ole ice cream shop. The espresso ice cream was delicious, and we got it between a peanut butter cookie and a chocolate chocolate chip cookie, then warm pressed. Really enjoyed the peanut butter cookie, and would definitely order two of those cookies next time.
Cash only and the place is a mess. I can get over the mess to some extent, but the bigger concern is cash only. Who does that in 2021 after a pandemic?
Went to Nellie's back in April and now writing a review months later. The ice cream was amazing, and so were the cookies. I found the rice crispy treat to be a little on the dry side, but tasted very good. I got the Nellie's cookie monster challenge and I wish I didn't. (Or if I did, I share with a friend or two.) I was really full. I have passed that placed many times since then, and I can see they are still cash only. I don't know why. They do have an ATM, but I suggest getting cash before.(and look at the menu too.) If you want the Nellie's cookie monster challenge, I suggest eating it with a friend, even though they say only one person has to eat the entire thing by themselves. Only eat it entirely if you ate nothing for the entire day (if you want to.) Next time, I'll get a cookie sundae.
Never thought I'd say this about ice-cream but their serving sizes are too big!! Presentation was wonderful - kids couldn't have been more excited. Ice cream quality was sub-par compared to some of the other local spots. CASH only, don't forget that. Inside was clean and employees were wonderful. Outside could use a good scrubbing.
Fun novelty to have an ice cream sandwich bigger than your face. The ice cream was decent, the cookies were reasonable, and having the cookies warmed on a hot press is a great addition. So I am happy for the experience but I don't necessarily need to go back - if I do, we are definitely splitting one of these $6 monsters.
