A taste of Paris in Minnesota! Some of the best pastries around. The coffee is great too and a tremendous value (a very tasty latte under $4). Recommend the chocolate croissants, cronuts (croissant donuts), and the passionfruit raspberry tart. The exact menu is available on social media daily, and you can order online ahead of time to pick up.
Each bite transported me closer to France
By far the best pastry shop in the twin cities area — very beautiful pastries with wonderful texture and taste. Innovative weekend specials are to-die-for. Be sure to get there as early as possible in the morning if you would like to get the weekend specials as they often run out well before noon.
My heaven ? the best French bakery in Twin Cities! It is really important to go there before 12 pm to be able to buy pastries. We always getting one of each and half of the desserts are constant and the rest is new. They always do something new. Also they are only one who bake chocolate Madeline!
I ordered Mother’s Day cake from the bakery. It looked quite pretty but the taste was not that good.. I have not tasted other pastries from this bakery so I can’t comment on them. This review is solely based on the Mother’s Day cake. I’ll try other pastries and update my review accordingly.
It’s the best French pastry shop in Minneapolis. I tried most of their stuff and the butter croissant, kouign amman, passionfruit raspberry tart is still my go to. On weekends they have special for croissant donut with different flavor every month. It was really good with the flavored cream in between. Their menu changes from day to day.
I love a super fancy dessert that is also delicious! They change their menu bi-weekly and my favorite this week is the Mini Jardin (lime, rose and honey infused pistachio spongcake) and Croissant Ispahan (lychee filled croissant with rose water glazed and freeze-dried raspberry on top) - it's pretty to look at and tasty!I wish they can extend their store hours until 5 pm, or at least longer hours on weekends :-)
Ordered a 3 ft croquembouche for my wedding last weekend. The croquembouche was delicious; however, the pick up part was a disaster. I was originally told by email the cake would be put into many different boxes, that's why I opted for my parents to pick up since they live close by instead of having it delivered. When my father picked it up, they handed him the cake without any plastic to cover it or any sort of boxes. My dad had to ride in the car with it and make sure his suit and his car wouldn't have caramel all over it for a one hour drive to our wedding venue. After my fiance and I emailed them to complain about the less than desirable way they handed the cake. They said "I have discussed this issue with my staff and I was informed they advised your father to put the Croquembouche in the back of the trunk. This would ultimately have been the safest place for transportation as it has the most room. With the cake being in the trunk of the car, a secondary person would be able to gently handle the cake." I think the answer was a bs way to cover their mistake because either way someone would've had to hold the cake to avoid caramel all over. We also found it hard to believe that the owner himself delivers these cakes to any fancy office w/out anything to protect the cake. My family also left a review for them on google maps review and the company removed their honest review. As a sorry they also offered us a 10% coupon that we will never use. The only thing we hope for them is that they rethink their ways for people who prefer to pick up, especially when the price tag of the croquembouche is already close to $500. I'm not saying don't support the company, because they do have a successful business; but listen to the complaint and take it seriously to ameliorate yourselves.
Was excited to try out a new patisserie that carried kouign amann. The space is VERY small. I was one of three other customers and it was a tight squeeze. Prices were what I’d expect. I decided to try their pastry of the month (lavender Earl grey croissant donut) for $8.00. Lots of flavor but the filling was dripping all over once I but into it. The kouign amann was very thin, and the consistency reminded me of a phyllo dough.
The pastries taste so good, and their presentation is always beautiful. Some mornings the croissants sell fast, so get there early or order online ahead of time.
