We thought their food was very delicious the service was great they were polite very nice place to eat. We would recommend this and we will go there again thank you so much for your hospitality. 😊
Services were good but the food were out of vermicelli noodles so didn't get the vermicelli dish with meats/greens and didn't get the vermicelli noodles with the papaya dish. Sad to hear that it was a longer wait time (waited for 30+ minutes for food to come) around the afternoon around 2-3pm because me and my husband came by to have a quick lunch but didn't get the full satisfaction of food services. Hopefully they can change up a little bit on the food running out or giving alternative dishes to customers would of suffice. The waitress didn't give us information if we would get our vermicelli dish instead she only asked if we could have other side dish along with the papaya. Unfortunately, we only ate papaya for lunch.
This location is located on University Avenue and is part of a professional complex so it’s not a standalone restaurant.Upon entering, we were greeted and seated fairly quickly. They came and brought us waters and got our orders and food but after that, we never saw them again. Service was 50/50.Nab Vam: 5/5, so good!Pad Thai: 3/5, it was okay.Pho: 3/5, it was alright.Overall, their menu is too broad and if they took it down to just some main food, I’m sure it’ll be great tasting but other than that, I don’t know if I would come back.
We did take out and personally I felt like the proportion was really little. Not a lot of basil pad ka pao and barely any Papaya salad since they added the half noodles (which was not requested). Overall taste was good but nothing special. Everything cost roughly $60My fav dish in order:1: wontons & thai tea (not pictured)2: Papaya salad3: fried rice4: basil pad ka pao5: catfish laab (only bc I'm not a fan of fish but my boyfriend thought it was decent)
* SAVE YOUR MONEY - Read reviews before going to this place.*- First time ordering from this place. I order take out and had the medium spicy papaya Lao style, raw laab, fried rice, and Pa Thai. They over loaded the dried pepper on the papaya and it was way to spicy to enjoy. Over loaded dried pepper and bitter on the raw laab. It was very disappointing and I would not recommend. Fried rice and Pa Thai was okay. They should have better containers for the papaya for take out since it has liquid. This is a hmong run restaurant with a Thai sign. If you want Authentic Thai food I would suggest other places. WILL NOT RETURN TO PLACE.
First time visiting this place. It was kind of busy, but we were seated pretty quickly. It did take awhile for someone to come and take our order. Once we did order, the food came out fairly quick. I ordered the Thai fried rice, and it was good, although it was much sweeter than I was expecting. They give good portion sizes, and I was not able to finish my food. Overall the food wasn't bad, but I've definitely had better Thai food.
This place is top notch!!! Very large place and good table space from people. I came here with my family to eat I thought I would check it out because I was interested in the menu. The waitress did a absolute good job taking our order and made sure she asked us if we wanted our food mild, medium or spicy. The food was brought out within 5 minutes of ordering. The papaya was delicious, the laab was perfect, the fried rice was perfect the spring rolls were fresh, the roast duck was fresh and tasty and the nam vam was sweet and fresh my kids loved it! I ordered a large pho and couldn't finish it cause I had too many other food the pad thai is the best pad thai I ever had in the twin cities! I would definitely come back again!
Personally, I have a mixed feeling about this location; when the boyfriend & I went for a meal there were lots of people and our food was served with an exceptional timely matter; but when I went with my mom and brother just now- there wasn’t a whole lot of others to serve- but we had to wait for quite some time even before starting on our order. Not, only just that- but the group table on the corner of our left eye- were loud and it wasn’t just indistinguishable type of loud where you could enjoy your meal- it was the kind where you wonder if they realize how obnoxious they are. I understand that it was someone’s birthday and they were having a blast- but the table across from us even looked to their right and watched them as they continue to speak. If there is a specific occasion such as this- I would prefer the staff to be more considerate and serve them at a certain time slot and let others know* that there is a celebration going on- if they could either check back in 10-15 minutes, or if they would prefer take out for the inconvenience. It might be acceptable to some people, but it might not be for others. People’s minds are wired differently; what if they just got off work and needed a meal and wanted something in a more quiet nature? The staff, I won’t dive into details because I understand what it must be like to be in their situation having to collect plates from table to table- but I wasn’t entirely happy with the loud indistinguishable background noise overlapping the modern Hmong music playing in the background. Also, the food is a bit overpriced my friend- it’s equivalent to Destiny Cafe’ 2 if I had to be honest.
This place is bomb. The food was fantastic and the staffs were very friendly and courteous. You gotta try it to believe it. A++ recomendation.
At best only meh. The flavors weren’t balanced—leaning heat to the bland side. I was not well treated by the waitron, it seemed my request to try another spring roll dipping sauce was too much to ask. I won’t be back.
