I haven't eaten here so I can't speak on the food. I came here to pick up a DoorDash order to deliver to a customer. While I was waiting for the employee to come back in from out front a mouse ran right by me an behind the counter.. at least the food was ready for pick up.
Only one thing I can say about this place is the food is good but the place needs some cleaning serious cleaning so if you like soul food or traditional food it's a place to go.
The restaurant needs a serious facelift that wouldn’t cost too much. There are regularly vehicles parked here that don’t seem to be dining or patronizing the establishment. Litter all over the ground, and onto the street. The sign is faded and the windows are partially boarded up. It’s a standby for some, but I have been there for some fish and wings, but it’s really questionable. I wish the owners would take better care of the outside. Nothing is truly inviting to want to visit this restaurant.
yummy but I think I like hooks fish and chicken a lil bit better. but I like their sauces better than hooks.
This place is so good! Very fast, got it to go and it was still hot when we got home, nice people there, and great flavors!
Good food ....looks close but very well open and ready to serve you.the prices a lil high but that's everything nowadays. I'll be back for more soon or later
Chicken tenders were great. Fried fish had no flavor but was crisp on outside and tender inside.
Don’t be fooled by the nondescript exterior. If you’re looking for tasty, tasty fish and chicken J&J are your peeps. No idea what their spice mix is, but it adds a nice zing to their light, flaky batter. Wings and catfish nuggets are my go tos, but this University Avenue outpost is a good player in the fish and chicken market.
Great atmosphere put my fish was soggy if it's in the name it should be top-notch hands down no questions asked little disappointed I'll give him another shot though
Ordered through DoorDash and scheduled my order ahead of time for me and some coworkers called beforehand to ensure food would still be hot or somewhat warm when it got to us I was guaranteed that it would…dasher arrives to me with our food and everything was soggy cold and just plain disgusting no flavor I ordered shrimp so I’m praying as I type that I don’t get sick from it overall disappointing with the restaurant and DoorDash all together I’m not sure why they assigned me to this particular store when I ordered because there was another one closer to us but I will make sure To not order from here in the future
