i would give 0 stars if i could.. this Establishment stole my money. placed an order online to be picked up at 6pm, google said they were open but when i arrive on time for my order the doors were all locked and no one was there. tried calling and emailing, got no response. thought the pending charge would leave my account since the food was never even made but it hit my account and i would like a refund
I randomly stumbled across this joint. Had the brisket sandwich and it was great. My two sides were mac and cheese and coleslaw. The Mac n cheese is very good. Reminds me of lasagna. Only downside to this place is that all ribs are pork only. Otherwise would've been 5stars.
Delivery was still hot and on time by a friendly driver. Food is perfect homestyle cooking with tender, fall off the bone, ribs. Love the slaw too.
WENT TO HUNTER BOYS TODAY THIS WAS MY VERY FIRST TIME . CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OKAY BUT THE FOOD WAS NOT IT TASTED LIKE MY RIBS TIPS WAS FRIED BASICALLY IT TASTED LIKE FRIED FOOD YOU DIDN'T TASTE LIKE BARBECUE THE BARBECUE SAUCE WAS GRITTY I HAD ORDERED A MEAT PLATTER WITH THREE SIDES THREE DIFFERENT MEATS AND IT LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD GAVE ME CRUMBS THE RIB TIPS THEN LOOK LIKE TIPS AT ALL COULDN'T RECOGNIZE WHAT IT WAS THE THREE CHICKEN WINGS I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THAT WAS CHICKEN. I GIVE UP ON MINNESOTA AND THEM OPENING UP BARBECUE JOINTS I'LL JUST WAIT TILL I GO BACK HOME IN THAT PLACE IN CHICAGO CUZ NOBODY DOES IT BETTER THE PRICE OF THE FOOD IS NOT SO BAD BUT THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE.
Really thought it'd be better, it was not good. The brisket had the consistency of tree bark. It was like they left it under the heat lamp too long. The ribs had no bark, minimal flavor, and the sauce was very tomato or ketchup heavy. The smell was mostly hot dog like and not more complex like you'd expect from good BBQ. I can't recommend.
Disappointed to say the least. Looked and sounded like decent BBQ, and really wanted it to be, but everything I had was just not good. Are here for lunch. Had pulled pork sandwich, beans, corn, and cornbread. Corn was cold and was clearly just boiled, beans were overly sweet, cornbread lacked flavor (and they didn’t include butter). Bread of sandwich was soaked thru because the coleslaw was overly sauced. If there was any BBQ on it (picked their classic), I couldn’t tell by taste (clearly there was based on looks). Saving grace and reason for 2 stars not 1, is that the meat was tender, there was a good amount on the sandwich, and it wasn’t half fat.
Yo! I missed out on a whole year of good barbeque! Today was my first taste of Hunter Boys Southern Style Barbeque. Let me tell you! So good! The ribs don't need sauce! But if you do, the original sauce is on point - tangy, smokey and a little touch of sweet. These guys know what they're doing! AND, the deliver to my neighborhood!!! Before this, I only had pizza delivery. Thanks guys! See you soon!

Had originally left a different review but I judged way too quickly. We weren't satisfied with our pulled chicken combo but John was willing to fix it and even offered one on the house. I can tell the owners care a lot about their customers and making sure they have the best experience. I stand by my statement that this was the best mac and cheese I've ever had and the corn was sweet and juicy! Prices are very reasonable. Customer service was great. We will definitely be back to try a feast!
