Parking is tough. I was expecting it to be difficult but not this bad. They ended up taking our name off the reservation list after holding it for 10 minutes which is understandable. Luckily, they still had the table available and we were seated as soon as we arrived. We sat outside on one of the patio areas. It was pretty hot but we were able to maneuver out of the sun. Food was extremely decadent, maybe too rich for me, but flavors were good. We each got a coffee drink, an entrée, and a dessert and shared everything. We honestly should have just shared a dessert because we ended up with a ton of leftovers. Server was extremely attentive and answered all questions thoroughly. Fun place to go with friends!
Hope Breakfast Bar, do not serve your customers raw and uncooked food please. This was the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs I ordered. Very disappointed, this is unacceptable.
Delicious breakfast! Mission and vision of this place is very awesome! Wasn't a fan of the Bloody Mary mix used (too much pepper flavor) but the rest was awesome and the servers and kitchen staff were working hard to get things out fast from the kitchen! They succeeded! They were out of sausage on a Saturday morning, but with supply chain issues at an all time high, we understood and chose something else and enjoyed it. Great patio seating areas, but not enough shade umbrellas on the smaller tables in the sunny area. We were there early in the morning so it wasn't too hot yet. We went on the last day of summer restaurant week, so it was busy and bustling. We definitely want to go back to try other things on the menu. Cool location and a community-minded business who is making a difference! So awesome!
Great brunch spot. All the usual suspects for breakfast, with thoughtful flavor enhancements like maple syrup matcha, Banana milk coffee and so on. The loaded hash browns are fantastic. The staff were above and beyond helpful, friendly and beautiful. I don't drink but the mimosas and bloody Mary's were popular - I would be a regular if I lived in St. Paul.
Meh. For a breakfast place, they’ve glossed over some essentials. I shared my feedback and got no response.
We went here to celebrate our anniversary. After this, we've decided breakfast might have to be the new anniversary "dinner" going forward, and Hope Breakfast Bar will be top of the list to go to.We started off by ordering theHope mimosa board, which was fantastic and a fun way to start. There were so many great items to choose from, but we settled on the Stuffed Poblano for me and the Bourbon Smoked Salmon Toast for my wife. She absolutely loved her meal. The salmon was fantastic. I also enjoyed my dish quite a lot, and was happy to have leftovers to take home with me.When our server found out it was out anniversary, she offered us what we thought was going to be a small order of the Baby Cakes (we chose German chocolate), but was almost another whole meal, and they were amazing! We look forward to going back again sometime soon!
The food was OK. The service was horrible. It was very hot inside with a lot of flys. Getting water was difficult, the waitress seemed angry. She was dismissive. I wanted to order more food but she took forever to come around so I gave up. We had a party of 7 and 3 meals came out and they were finished eating by the time the rest came and and those meals were missing sides.
Went about 1 on a Sunday and there was a bit of a wait. Completely worth it. Coffee, Mimosa was delicious. Had the Hope Breakfast (classic breakfast option), and it was extremely well done. Fried chicken and waffles were transcendant. Expect to look for parking a bit, but we loved our experience here.
Walked in not expecting to going upstairs to be seated…such a dope breakfast atmosphere with vibes to match in this. However, I would definitely make a reservation ahead for inside seating because they can get busy, otherwise there is outdoor seating with heaters when the weather permits. The Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs was bomb, and I really liked the gravy. The carrot cake pancakes were also good, you can do the baby cakes (smaller pancakes) and it’s almost enough to share. The overall quality of the food was on point, which definitely helped cause some of the prices are bananas, especially on their coffee drinks...I have never seen prices like this like EVER!Overall I would still go back to try more of the menu.
I have to give this place some of the best praise I have ever given a place to eat. The service was amazing and super friendly, the waitress we had really was so nice and outgoing. The atmosphere was great. It is a little cramped with a party of 10 or more, especially with all the tables around ours but I wouldn't let that lead to a negative review in anyway. The food was delicious, everyone in the party praised everything they ate. And the drinks were so good. Some had alcoholic beverages they loved and some had non-alcoholic which were just as amazing.10/10 would probably come back but not with a huge party. Would make a perfect little date brunch for anyone.
