Might want to work on your employees’ math skills and outward displays of their paranoia. Came in to pick up some hard cider and was followed around the store. I get it, sometimes people can assume you’re younger than you are, but no need to treat customers worse for your inaccurate assumptions. If you think someone might be too young, ID them there (or casually wait until they try to check out). So after finding what I wanted and trying to ignore the hovering presence, I went to check out. The cashier immediately asked for my ID, but in an “I’m going to catch you” sort of way. He took my ID and then had his own excited “I’ve caught you” moment and quickly said “you’re 20”. I looked at him flatly and said, “I’m 30”. He was then embarrassed for the remaining of our encounter because he couldn’t subtract correctly. Probably best to have your math errors make you over cautious, but not a great practice to treat anyone you deem as potentially underage poorly. Won’t come back.Update: 100% ok with getting ID’d. Just please don’t treat anyone that you make an assumption as being too young as a criminal before checking to see if they’re actually too young to buy alcohol. And if the entire time I’m shopping I’m getting hovered, please just check my ID at the door.
Excellent selection, great events and friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff!
I guess all Haskell’s are not created equally. I like that this location has the cheese/charcuterie counter but their selection especially with spirits I’ve noticed is pretty average compared to some other locations. Maybe it’s a space thing.
Classy place with damn good selection. The food section is a great compliment, snacks is huge for me when I'm having a drink. Really cool spot.
Very helpful staff. Huge selection of everything! Seen things that total wine doesn't carry! Totally recommend this place
I like this place. Small Town feel in the big city. Great selection. And they have a cheese counter! Love it!
Always a good time. Nice employees. Good stock, nice selection of new and "lets give it a go" stuff in small amounts. The employees seem to like their time here. I have yet to be punched hard in the face by a disgruntled worker. Haskell's must know when to feed and water their workers to keep them happy. Keep up the good work ? ? ?
I love this place for my online ordering an in-store pickup option they always go above and beyond for their customers thanks guys for providing such a great service I will be a little customer as long as you guys are open never a bad customer experience always been great and recommend you to friends and family thanks guys for your service
1st. time visit today. Awesome Staff! Liked the overall selection of everything. Went with 6 for $60 and the Jack Farrell's Christmas case of wine?
Good customer service, extremely high prices…i just bought a bottle of wine (Chalk Hill chardonnay) 14.99 at the liqueur store on West Seventh and Haskells charged 21.99 for the same bottle, additionally, a bottle of Ferrari-Carano chardonnay is priced at 29.99 at Haskells and 19.99 just about every where else. Prices way to high here…. talk about fleecing the customer!
