Brought my wife and daughter, were seated right away 15 minutes later waitress came for drink orders, another 15 minutes drinks came ordered food 25 minutes go by. Tried having a conversation with my family, could not hear each other so loud and also bingo was going on food came food was good saw waitress twice payed cash could not wait to get out of there, This place is definitely not family friendly. Would definitely not recommend this if you have a family very slow and really loud.
I ordered takeout - two burgers. When placing the order online, I requested that each burger be well done. What I discovered when I got home is what you see below. It wasn't medium rare, or even rare, it was raw. As you can see, only the outer millimeter was cooked. Everything inside was cold (yes, cold) and raw. It is one thing to get the doneness level slightly wrong - order medium rare, get rare; order medium well, get medium, etc. But to serve raw beef when well done was ordered? It is too bad because I was a regular pre-pandemic. I won't go again because who needs to get sick from raw meat. There are too many other options that reliably serve safe food.
I really like Gabe's. Their interior ambiance is cozy and inviting. Low rounded ceilings are reminiscent of a ship interior. Recently with new ownership the place has a new look and an upgraded menu. Staples available, sandwiches, burgers and beer. I had the blackened ahi tuna sandwich with a side of brussel sprouts. Very tasty. Pull tabs are super popular.
Superb service. The new menu is also nothing but hits. Highly recommend for snacks, drinks, or full-on grub.
I had a burger and tots that was cooked perfect. Also tried a side of their homemade Mac & Cheese. I Will be having that again for sure. Our waitress was spot on. Always right there to refill our drinks and make sure We had everything We needed. 5 Stars from Me.
I ordered the seared tuna sandwich for dinner and I was delighted with it. The meat was seared perfectly and there was a tasty savory/spicy sauce mingled with the coleslaw that added crispness to the sandwich. So pleased. ?
The Cowboy Hamburger was delicious and more than I could finish but then, it could be that finishing the best french fries ever, first, was why I couldn't finish the burger. There were five of us in our lunch party and all of us agreed that the fries were great. We'll definitely be back!
I was there on Monday and ordered an adult grilled cheese...when it came it looked like a picture ..the kind they show on a menu...The bread was grilled to perfection..the flavor was devine... I would definitely order it again in a minute...thanks so much for a delicious meal...
Brought my family to the Como Zoo Conservatory on Sunday - googled Best Food nearby and found this little Treat. My Wife loved her beet salad and the shrimp appetizer was phenomenal. Fabulous Chicken wild rice soup, and the boys loved their burgers and fries. We all can't wait to visit again..
Food was excellent! Bingo was so much fun. Our server was really sweet. All in all it was a wonderful experience, definitely would go back again! Thanks you guys.
