I love Ethiopian food, and this just happens to be the restaurant closest to me. The food is good, but the service here is lacking. I always dread any kind of interaction with the staff because of their attitude- it's almost as if it's an inconvenience that I'm ordering food. Phone etiquette is non-existent and you'll be sifting through customer photos for a menu. Hope the service improves!
My favorite Ethiopian spot in twin cities. You can't go wrong with vege sampler. Shiro Miser and the green bean dish are my favorite. It is a good deal to have a fish filet with sampler especially when it is freshly made. Most of the time, they will have shiro that in a paste form, which tastes phenomenal but sometimes it would be a bit watery and less flavorful. I think it is another variation since i know some spots consistently offering the watery version. The service isn't as bad as the reviews describe.The people here are nice. It is probably a culture difference though. If u need anything or the food is a kind of slow just ask them. I can't complain more given the food here is so good. The injera here tasts the best in my opinion among other spots I tried. It tastes the best when it is freshly made and warm. So come when it just open may be the best option. Other spots I tried may cook a lot injera at once or use leftover even when it is just open.
AMAZING food. It is a perfect 10 for the food alone. The service (albeit very friendly) is admittedly slow, and it’s not a good place if you’re in a rush — but that’s not really what this restaurant is about. It is 100% worth the wait and every penny. Great place for a unique date night. I will keep coming here forever.

I've been here a over a dozen times and I've never had the experience that I had yesterday.. I went out with a friend who is from Eritrea. We stopped by to grab a quick drink. As soon as we as arrived, some random lady who must have recognized him started being very belligerent with him and calling him all types of names. We end up going to the other side of the bar to sit down. He ordered himself a beer I on the other hand didn't want any alcohol beverage so I decided to get bottled water however they didn't have that so I didn't have anything but nonetheless that was fine. What I don't understand is that while me and my friend was there and he was being harassed by the woman, not too much or sad we just sort of ignored her and moved on however I didn't notice as me and my friend were speaking privately and laughing amongst ourselves that the two women who were working there seem to be surprised when me and him seem to have gotten closer and we're speaking between ourselves privately I can immediately see that she looked shocked and then she gestured to the other young lady whom she was working with to turn around and look at me but by the time the other lady did look me him had separated and was laughing amongst ourselves about something. Prior to all of this I asked one of the ladies once she had a moment I would like to place an order to go lo and behold needless to say she never stopped to get my order or to see if I wanted or needed anything else. Out of all the times I've dying here I've never experienced anything like that I guess it depends on the company that you keep. It's 2022 it shouldn't matter if an a retrained man walks into an establishment with an African-American woman you can always jump to conclusions and it's okay to be friends with people from the same race but what's culturally raised differently that is how we learn from each other and be united. There shouldn't be such a cultural divide especially with people of the same ethnic background. So for those two women that work there I will tell you it's really disrespectful and less becoming of women of color to discriminate against anyone that is pure ignorance.
Food was very good! I would go again. I picked up an order to go. They need to update their take out menu prices. The prices on the web are not accurate.
The food looks great but is served ice cold. We were hungry and was disappointed with the service. Definitely not going to come back here for sure. The red curry in the dish is so dried out a dry layer is formed on top of it. Totally not fare for the price you pay
I learned of fasika at the age of 12 and since then 2 decades later I still come for there good food, but let me say, I have never seen such poor customer service ever. Since covid hit I only see 1 waitress running around serving, taking orders, taking bills, checking up on whether the food is ready or not and I am sure she is overwhelmed but I actually heard her say to a customer who had ordered her food 30 minutes in advance to get her some coffee while she waits, and she responded with “I can’t”. That was pretty upsetting and I think this will be the last time I come here in a very long while, the last 4-5 times I came, I dealt with the same poor customer service. The waitress will throw the napkin at the table rather than setting it down, again I’m not trying to sound horrible, I know she’s overwhelmed but Fasika needs to do better and hire more waitress.
