We ate at the bar because the dining room and patio were full. So, if you're wondering if you need a reservation on a Wednesday evening, I would recommend it. Turns out the bar is the place to be. Very friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. Kept up a lovely banter. And they played vinyl. They make a nice non-alcoholic mocktail, Cherry K2. A delicious lemon foam tops the drink. For the main my husband got the rigatoni, I got the anolini. Can't go wrong with these. Walleye was served as a bar bite. Pickled. Dessert was an egg tart.
Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. The host and the server were both very kind and welcoming. The pasta with jalapeno puree was not spicy at all, which is good for me but if you're looking for a kick try the chicken kabob instead. The shrimp was very tasty too.
Went for restaurant week with friends and between us were able to sample most of the Portuguese- and Spanish-inspired dishes. All were fantastic. The cocktail menu is distinctive as well. The ambiance is upscale casual.
My friends and I had dinner here to celebrate a birthday this winter. They were very Covid conscious and required masks worn for all staff & we had to wear them if walking around or using the bathroom. We shared our meals- enjoyed the beets and the pasta. We had a nice table in the back. Can get a little loud when the restaurant is full.
Went out with a group of five girls and enjoyed the night! We had the blood orange salad and beets to start, both were great… but the blood orange salad would win in a match. For entrees we got the chitarra x2, rigatoni x2 and Nero pasta. All were delicious. Dessert was the star bar and raspberry cake. Couldn’t pick a favorite because they were that good! Lots of drinks were had and were all a hit. Will be back again.
This place is a gem! Great atmosphere, nice servers. We had Amanda and she was great with recommendations. The pasta was out of this world, some of the best I’ve ever had! I will definitely be back here. They also brought free mini churros at the end that were such a treat.
Fricken great lil gem in st peezy here. Everything we had was top bar especially the pasta game. So good ?. Dreaming of their rigatoni and chitarra. Love sittin at the counter top to watch em make these beauts.
Wonderful restaurant. Loved the interior, especially the open kitchen. We ordered the croquettes, rigatoni, braised beef, and portuguese egg tarts. The braised beef was my favorite item we ordered. It was rich, hearty, and so flavorful. Croquettes were my least favorite item (would not order them again). Service was great! Our server knew we were celebrating so she gave us two free drinks! Overall, I would come back again.
A few months ago, we had dinner at Estelle and our experience was moderate. We felt our dishes weren’t bad but just not great. I had a chance to discuss this with the owner. He suggested we give it another try. We went back last week and we are glad we did.I usually take note of any outstanding dishes throughout the year and even though it is only January, I believe I already have a contender for 2022; the beets. For those of you who may be dismayed at my even suggesting a beet salad can garner an annual accolade for top dish, you’ll only need to taste it yourself to believe. Lightly pickled beets, fresh grapefruit, thin dried rind, parsley, and an aoli for depth- the combo is genius and delicious. The whole time, I was wondering if I could somehow replicate this at home.In addition to the salad, my wife had the braised beef and spoke highly of it. She is not a big fan of meat in general so ordering beef was a risky move. She said the beef was fork tender and the hazelnut polenta combo was delicious.I ordered the rigatoni. The pasta were al dente, the sausage was plentiful and full of flavor, and the sauce with fresh cut basil garnish was rich and savory. I was very satisfied.Once again, the staff was attentive and kind.My M.O is this, “If I can’t make the dish better myself, I have no need to critique it.” I cannot make any of these dishes better myself.Bravo for Estelle. Or should I say, “Brava”?
Estelle features a variety of fresh and flavorful dishes from the south of Europe (think Italy, Spain, and Portugal) in a cozy neighborhood setting. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was served on a delicious and fluffy English muffin. It was paired with crisp patatas bravas that really elevated the concept and tied together a wide range of spices and flavors.
