W.7th !Your entertainment hub from the, Excel Energy Center , downtown St.Paul and yonder way !You have every nook & cranny filled with people to see now , in this busy capitol city street .Just reopened ! A calm , serene atmosphere , with the tangy scent of garlic ,Italian meatballs simmering in the bank somewhere meeting your nose as you enter at the back dining hall .It's always a pleasure to 'pop in' , a community favorite .

Friendly service, and they say it's a really old business, which is pretty cool. I felt like the sauce was a bit harsh. Maybe over cooked, or overly salted. Everything seemed to have a lot of kick to it. I don't mind spice, but things seemed acidic. It could have just been an off night, but I sampled other peoples plates, and the sauce was consistently harsh. When I reheated my lasagna leftovers, they were even more overwhelming. I really wouldn't want to be critical of a place that's been around for like over 80 years, I'm just keeping it real. The service was really nice though, and the prices were cool. You should go check them out and see if I'm wrong. They definitely earned my repeat business based on their hospitality. I'll try them again someday.

It was my first time at DeGidio's and we went here to celebrate my partner's birthday. Our server was Olivia and she was super incredible, but did over check on us like every 5 minutes it was a bit of a hindrance. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the bus boy's attire, just didn't seem to fit the atmosphere. I had the Seafood Pasta and it was delicious! All the food we had was 5star and we will definitely be back!

I finally had a chance to experience the dining at DeGidios. My husband and I grabbed seats at the bar one night before a hockey game. Love the atmosphere! Dark & rich but cozy & comfortable. We decided to share a few items. We had the baked goat cheese, the mushrooms & the tortellini bolognese. They were all very good. The tortellini had a nice red sauce and the pasta was prepared just perfectly. Our bartender was quick to get us our food & drinks. We came back a few weeks later, ate in the dining room & experienced the same good food & service. I like the feel of the bar better than the dining room but not for a large group.

Fantastic! I’ve gotten the vodka stuffed tortellini or ravioli (forget what one) here and it is so delicious and RICH! I’ve also gotten just the regular spaghetti marinara with no meatballs, and was amazing even being the plain dish spaghetti is. Their bread and their seasoned butter is delicious, and a good drinks menu. Highly suggest this place, fantastic Italian!

We had a party of nine for diner after attending a concert in St Paul. We're glad we made reservations ahead of time as the place was packed. The service was quick and very organized with appetizers first and our selection of bottled wine. The main dishes were delivered timely and all of our guests were very happy with their choices. Overall a very enjoyable evening and we will definitely will be back.

The food here wasn’t bad in terms of taste. However, the portions were definitely on the small side, I felt like I left hungry. The food came out so quickly. That there is no way it was cooked to order. Which is a bit disappointing with Italian food. Precooked food may save time, but it never tastes as good. The waiter was nice, but they were all dressed like they just came in off the street. So it was hard to tell who worked there and who didn’t. The history of this place is pretty interesting and the decor of the restaurant was cool, albeit a little jaded. However, the men’s restroom was in dire need of TLC. Plus I will always call out a restaurant that still doesn’t have urinal dividers…. As gross as it sounds, I don’t want to walk into the restroom at a restaurant to see someone going to the bathroom. Get those dividers up, it’s 2022!

Delicious! I'm hesitant to order Italian food outside of Italy so am very picky and DeGidio's did not disappoint. And I could tell by the full parking lot and inside that the food was going to be good. I had fettuccini w/pesto sauce and chicken--every bite was excellent. Even the pieces of chicken tasted like they had been cooked in herbs. My sangria was nothing special, but then I'm comparing it to a fabulous place in Porto Portugal. I'd like to see their dessert menu expanded--cheesecake would be nice. The prices were the biggest surprise--they were incredibly reasonable. We had a birthday dinner, w/drinks and dessert for 4 for $100. The entree prices were under $20-- well-below steak eateries. And portions were generous. I read the other reviews that gave poor ratings and I disagree completely. I will definitely be returning.

What a Gem! This a wonderful place to eat and relax. The atmosphere is beautiful. Lots of polished wood and brass light fixtures. The food is amazing. We had spaghetti and meatballs, fresh baked bread and garlic butter. Fresh, hot and large portions, to bring home and enjoy it some more. The Staff is very friendly. Thank you! Kendall and Alexandra

If a dining experience was based on food alone it's 5 stars. The menu is creative but not risky. It's a great Minnesota friendly spread. The wait time is long for food. The staff did not require proof of vaccination even though it was mandated by the city. The waitstaff is friendly but seems stretched thin. The prices are as I would expect from a casual Italian diner. I would visit again but definitely not on a weekend. Went on a weekday and they were packed, can't imagine what it would be like on a Saturday night.
