We had a fabulous evening at Chips! We tried a variety of appetizers and sides and everything was amazing! The wedge salad and wings were my favorite! The cocktails were delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful! We will be back!
Great little spot in an unassuming location! Prices are a little high, but the food and drink are worth it.We enjoyed the mushroom patty melt and vegan bacon cheeseburger - both very tasty.I ordered the Kingfisher which was excellent. My partner got some of the N/A beverages which were also delicious
Chips is some of the best food I've had in the Twin Cities. The dishes are interesting and have an amazing flavor. The menu changes regularly and it's exciting to try the new things that show up. The staff at Chips is extremely kind and helpful when ordering. Tim makes the best drinks I've ever had. The non-alcoholic drinks are especially tasty. I like the pirate ship - it's very gingery. The burger and fries, and fish & chips are spectacular, but don't be afraid to try the vegetable appetizers. They almost always beat the main course every time I eat here.
I received a response from the resturant explaining the high grade of Angus beef,, etc.. "I did let staff know that your food was not satisfying to my palate". Tim was super accommodating. He removed the shrimp from our check. We insisted that was not our agenda to not pay for what we ordered. But, he insisted. So, I stand by my review, and no there will not be a second visit. We came for dinner, but we left after the terrible appetizers,, because I saw nothing else on your menu that interested me. (Original review: The coconut shrimp was too breaded and tasted like it came out of a frozen bag, The braised beef in the empanadas was mushy and greasy. Didn't like the sauce served with them. Also the price $15 was not worth it. It's more like a $9 dish. The cocktail (Cardnial) was delicious. Service was great. Bartenders super friendly.. 3 stars for service...)
On our list to try for a while and finally made it there tonight. Burger was fantastic! One of the best I’ve ever had and very good portion. The side of fries were also fabulous. Will be back soon - make a reservation as it’s busy around dinner time.
Loved the ambiance, decor and food. All really great! Downside was looooong wait for food. Then when it did come, My friend got hers first, several minutes later I got my burger, was 1/2 done eating and asked two different people/ two different times for my fries. Was almost done with burger when they finally came. I understand short-staffed these days, but this was avoidable. No apology Or comp. $47 for one drink, burger/fries and tip.
Lovely and delicious! Brunch was fantastic. The corned beef was perfect. Do yourself a favor and at least get a side order. The bloody was spicy and great. I could have the griddled blueberry muffin everyday; tons of blueberries and the toasting on the griddle is simple but genius. The pigs in a blanket could easily become an obsession. It's like hush puppy batter wrapped around breakfast sausage. The batter is marvelous and fried to perfection. Service was lovely and efficient with excellent recommendations.
irreplaceable vibes. i have been multiple times now, and have recommended this wonderful restaurant to others. the cocktails were made with intention and purpose; unlike how a chain might make an Old Fashioned. the burger & fries... is tough to review. yeah, it was just that good.
Of the top 3 best burger spots in the Twin Cities, this place is the best about consistently blowing my mind. The rest of the menu looks interesting/exciting, unfortunately I can't stop ordering the burger every time I go. One of my favorite fries as well. Awesome cocktails too.
This is one of our go-to restaurants! Great cocktails and amazing food. I never thought I'd ever order a mushroom sandwich over a burger but the mushroom melt sandwich is my go to menu item! Don't sleep on the broccoli side dish either, was pleasantly surprised by that dish!
