I used to love checker board pizza so I thought I would share this amazing pizza with the grand kids it wasn't the same as the last time I had it and they messed our order up one of our 30 some dollar pizza's was wrong but they was ready to eat so we just left it alone it tasted waxy and it was like the crust and the pizza was at war to be together my cheese was sliding rt off really disappointed ? ?
Really yummy. My order didn't get placed with the kitchen right away so I waited an extra 15 minutes and they upsized my pizza! It was a Friday night and WILDLY busy. The free upsize was super generous and unexpected. In the time I waited I saw nobody else experiencing a delay. Their oops with me was not what I saw as typical. 100% will frequent
I ordered a large veggie pizza on my lunch break at work at 11:30 am today. I was told my $27.26 pizza would he delivered in 30 to 40 minutes. After an hour I was told they were just putting it in the oven when I called to see why it hadn't arrived yet. I asked for a discount for the major delay and was first told they would give me 15% off, but subsequently told they could not give me any money off my pizza. They stated they may give a discount if I ordered again in the future though. My pizza was finally delivered well over an hour and a half later covered with very few toppings, barely any sauce and hardly enough cheese to cover the pizza. Additionally, the pizza was very undercooked. This was my first and last time I will ever order from here and I will warn others as well. What a major disappointment and poor service.
Paid $30 for a pizza. The sausage was too spicy for me. When I called them about it. I was told they wouldn't remake one to replace it unless I paid for another pizza. I wasn't offered a store credit, a refund, Partial refund or a they're sorry. As I told them when dealing with a restaurant if there's something wrong with your food. They replace it or refund. Not these people
Good food, it would be even better if they cleaned joint once in awhile
This is the best pizza I've had in St Paul and the only one that reminds me of NY style pizza.
I love Checkerboard in Midway. The service is always great and everyone is super friendly. I pick up food at least once a week

Best pizza place in st Paul. Sandwiches are ok, But the pizza is amazing and has been forever. Wings are awesome if u get the buffalo. Their teriyaki ones are a bit salty for my taste but man the buffalo ones smack! Also has great sausage.
