Heard about these guys on PBS and decided to give them a try for my wife’s birthday dinner. The staff and food both exceeded our lofty expectations. Incredibly, the food was possibly even better after reheating leftovers in oven. Heck, we even let our baby try meat for the first time and I suspect it’s his new favorite food :) Hope to dine in next time to enjoy some live music.
This was such a phenomenal experience! I went solo so i opted for the bbq beans, they were far more then i expected. The meat that was so well incorporated that i felt like it had been as if i was eating burnt ends, and yet in the same bite i could taste full flavor of the sweet slow cooked beans. They even had complimentary coke and water on ice. It was such a perfect evening to sit and eat while being front row for a live concert! This incredible pair of musicians (Trevor and Mary i believe) who truly put on such an intimate and inspiring performance. Just an fyi*Plato and Ohio will be black market's new location starting next Saturday. This was such a great time, I'm so grateful for the great food, great company, great music, and most of all to be able to share my thoughts and appreciation for it all. The whole process was easy, from online ordering, and being able to PAYLATER, the major delay was my getting here but I'm so glad I did and I recommend this experience for everyone. Hands Down best BBQ in the Twin Cities, will definitely be working this into our regular dining out favorites! Brisket, Ribs, and beans were amazing - we brought sauce but did not use.

It might look complicated but it is super easy to order and their service on SATURDAYS is outstanding. Sign still says Fridays. They have basic utensils, tables, chairs and live music per the schedule on the website. Super chill, bring whatever else you want or need, we're taking your food to go and run with it!Ribs were outstanding as-is, and slow-broiled leftovers with sauce a couple days later. Beans and meat are the perfect barbecue side, and for some people on entree. Brisket was very good - lots of fat but totally separable from the supe-tender meat.

Recently ordered ribs and brisket for a family get-together. Absolutely fantastic!! The ribs were the meatier I've ever had. Literally, three bones were a meal and the brisket was "melt in your mouth". The beans were packed with delicious pork shoulder. Highly recommend!!
Fantastic ribs! Such fun to bring own chair and beverage and listen to music outdoors with friends and neighbors. Doesn’t get much better in MN, in spite of Covid!!
