Extremely disappointed in Barrio today . Went in and was told there "kitchen was down " , I'm an ex kitchen manager and with how hot it was and the smoke smell in the air im pretty sure it was a ventilation issue. Clearly could see staff was doing there best but with being no stranger to the resturaunt world when things break its really shame on you guys for keeping your employees there under those conditions. Main reason I left the industry - nothing says used and abused like a 100 degree kitchen "

Quesadilla was average at best. Only 1/2 had any filling. Margaritas were very good.

Amazing food, and even better staff. We walked in on memorial day, and the bartender immediately let's us know they where under staffed and let us know there might be a wait.. we waited only a short time before we got good drinks and awesome food..Always be upfront when wait times maybe longer..

Not a good first experience for my wife and I at the St. Paul location. Our hostess and server were great and are the sole reason why I didn’t give a single star. Some items were out of stock, like yucca, which was one of the primary reasons we chose Barrio. Disappointing but not the end of the world. The problems lied with the kitchen and food runner who could not seem to coordinate very well. Our dinner was delivered sporadically…. 5-15 minute gaps between items that were ordered at the same time. I cancelled one item because we finished our meal and it still wasn’t served. One item was prepared incorrectly. When my wife pointed out to the food runner that we specified no cheese, the food runner gave her a big and very obvious eye roll. Very rude, unprofessional, and inappropriate. Keep in mind this place was no where near busy at the time we were dining. I understand it’s difficult to find good workers in this labor market, but this person clearly demonstrated he didn’t want to be working at Barrio. I was stilled charged for the item I cancelled. I simply took the cost of that item off the tip and informed the server. My expectation is Barrio will give that credit to the server. I can only hope this was an off night and not a standard. It’ll be awhile before I am willing to give this location another chance. I dropped $60 on very little food and poor service.

Ate here with 6 girls on Thursday night. We had 1 round of drinks in the bar. It took us at least 20 minutes to get these drinks. For 4 of us, this was the only drink we are served the entire evening. They were def short a bartender. We were seated at 6pm. We did not receive our food until well after 7. Our drinks were empty. We had no water. Barely saw our waiter Rafael. I felt like he was put off anytime we asked for something. The female food runner never cracked a smile and seemed to be irritated. We were not served our food at even nearly the same time. We did not receive all of the food we ordered. This was by far the worst dining experience I have had in years. Everyone at the table agreed at how poor the service was. I don’t know what was going on at Barrio but the vibe was def an unhappy one. I’m sure it must be a management issue. Was there even a mgr there to help?? I don’t mind waiting to some degree due to staffing shortages but when I’m spending money a little friendliness goes a long way. I am giving 2 stars for the decent tequila selection and we were not disappointed with the quality of the food. Would like to have said something better but food and drink should not be served up in a hostile environment.

Worst service in a restaurant I’ve ever had. Very inattentive and food was mediocre at best. Very disappointed. I expected better.

Had huge expectations from the place because of a glowing recommendation. The burrito was tasty and very filling, actually left a part of it due to the huge size. A little oily and cheesy for my personal taste. The chips and salsa was a bit of a let down compared to standard mexican places. Huge shout out to the server who was courteous, polite and pleasant.

I can taste fresh meat. I grew up on dirt roads with chicken running around the street…good old country town living . The taste of fresh meat is imprinted in my mind & head. Barrio has the freshest meat I’ve ever tasted. I do believe that they cook it right off the farm each day. The workers are impressive…fast, efficient yet attentive to detail. The portions have decreased for the amount but I’ll still continue to go there.

This place is a giant disgusting fruit fly infested dump. They literally can't control how many little bugs get into your drink. The GM is a child and his boss is such a little angry man that he has to do anger management classes to stop how abusive he is. It didn't work. He just does it on the DL. Enjoy your margarita. Fruit flies free of charge. Trash.

We had a wonderful experience on St. Patricks Day! The corned beef tacos were absolutely amazing! The Scotch egg was so flavorful! I would eat those corned beef tacos year round. If not year round at least maybe for the month of March? Hats off to the Chef that created these! You are truly brilliant and created a masterpiece! What a wonderful St. Patrick's Day menu!
