We catered 6 large party trays of food from here for our son's first birthday party. The owners were EXCELLENT and so accomadting. They allowed us to look at their buffet to get an idea of what we wanted to order for the party. They also gave us a preview of how large their party trays were and also gave us a specific run down on prices. The food was a hit at our party and everyone loved it! We had a party of atleast 50 people and we could have honestly ordered 4-5 trays. They really ensure the trays are topped to the rim! Would definitely recommend for catering as they made it so easy. We contacted them 3 weeks before our event too and it wasn't an issue.
GO AT YOUR OWN RISK. Everyone who was saying that this restaurant was good must have had it on a good day or friends and family members of the owner. I took my son here today for dinner at 8... $23 for old and unpleasant looking food. Seriously the rice was hard.. dried up and sticky at the same time and the beef and broccoli had a bit of a sour taste to it (I have never had a sour taste not even a tad bit of sour before in my beef and broccoli.. even when served a bit cold... NEVER) My advice if your going to charge regular price and continue to have your doors open even an hour before closing... then your food should still be pleasant for as a paying customer AND/OR Reduce the price before closing or lock your doors. Serving food like that can get someone sick... hell I'm still waiting to see what consequences my son and I would have to endure after eating what we ate there (wasn't much) and if your pregnant.. definitely not pregnancy safe.. I highly do not recommend!!! You'll walk out happier at Tappinyakis on their worst day. I wouldn't be surprised if I cought listeria after eating here. Our 1st and last time dinning here. Never again.
This is one of my favourite buffets to visit when I need comfort food. When it comes to Chinese buffets, there really is not a lot of difference. I have been to over 50 spanning coast to coast. About 90% of the dishes are the same. What sticks out at this buffet is the flavour profile. Each dish tastes like it was made in small batches and there is a full flavor to them. They also have a lot of seafood such as clams, mussels, tilapia, shrimp, etc. My favourite dishes are butter mushrooms and calamari. The resteraunt proper seems a bit rundown, like it had its heyday 20 years ago. The plates are not always clean. The bathrooms need some upgrading and cleaning. Overall, these are the same exact issues I have experienced at every Chinese buffet I have visited. The dessert bar had a lot of choices, albeit generic fare from the same place that stocks most of the Twin Cities buffets. They do have a nice salad bar and fruit bar. The ladies in the front of the house are friendly. I highly recommend stopping by the next time you are in the area. An adult meal is about $16 and that includes everything.
My husband, daughter, and her husband celebrated Mother's Day together at the Panda Garden Buffet. The food was excellent and the buffet was always filled. Also the restaurant team were very polite and treated us well. Will we go back definitely and I highly recommend you to eat at the Panda Garden Buffet. What a great Mother's Day my. only regrets was that my two sons were not there to celebrate with us.
Most of reviews I saw were around 3 stars and after eating here I'd agree. Not bad but there are lots of buffets in the twin cities and this does not stand out. My seat in my booth kept moving as I was eating which didn't help the experience.
Worst Chinese Buffet I have ever been to. The moment I walked in restaurant the pungent smell was overwhelming, I should have just walked right out. The employee was on the phone while we paid, didn't even hardly acknowledge us. The food was terrible, the moment I took a bite of the calamari I felt sick to my stomach. There was no actual variety of "Chinese" food, only 1 chicken dish available and the chicken was extra chewy. The white rice was hard and crunchy. I deeply regret walking into this restaurant.
The food was not good. I had a hard time finding something I liked. It's 20 dollars for dinner. Which is fine if the food was actually good. They then ask for a 15% charge if you don't finish your food. Its not good food to even be able to finish. My family of 7 ate and everyone was disappointed.
Use to be sooo much better quality has gone way down and price has gone up. Ice cream machine is prob not broken. The machine is on and running... wouldn't you turn it off if it was broken. Its been that way for a long time now. If you don't want to offer ice cream anymore move the machine...
This place is gross. The food was cold and looked nasty itself and we went during dinner. Everyone I went with stomach’s was hurting immediately after we left and one got food poisoning. Don’t go here. Not worth the $15
I have been here a million times and it is always been delicious. With that said, yes, it is a strip mall Chinese buffet. If that's not what you're looking for, you might be disappointed. I feel like a lot of the negative reviews are from people who maybe had their hopes up a little too high for a casual buffet experience.
