The food was fantastic and I would certainly recommend dining in, however I got take out and the order was incomplete on arriving back home the Mexican coke I had ordered and paid for was not there and as someone visiting from the UK I'm hardly going back for a drink. So lower rating from me
First time trying here and it was delicious! The chips are INSANE so delicious, and the Tinga and Shrimp taco were my favorites! Also try the Tres Leches.
This place has the best tacos! I have followed them from food truck to their newest restaurant. Staff is friendly, service is quick and tacos are amazing!
Loved the atmosphere!! Tacos were amazing and there chips were my favorite part. Server was very nice.
The food here is very well prepared. Our table ordered a couple appetizers and four different entrees. All of our dishes tasted great. It was a very busy place at 6 PM on a Saturday, but the bar and wait staff did an excellent job of answering our questions and provided timely service. They have a reasonable selection of beer and wine, including some Mexican standards. Highly recommend.
Can there be a 10-star rating? For those extra special places where you're so blown away that you want to give it more than a 5 out of 5 star?Well this is that place. My goodness, what an amazing surprise in an unfortunately very well hidden location in Roseville. Quite likely the best tacos I've ever had; wife says quite possibly the best quesadilla she's ever had.Are you there yet? You should be there by this point scanning this review. Don't bother with other revivews. Just queue up that Google Maps and make haste.Bonus: this used to be a New Bohemia and La Tapatia made the genius decision to keep most, if not all their tap lines. Translation: they have a massive tap list.10 stars! Do go here!
I love this place so much. Definitely one of the best taco places in the area. The vibes are perfect and it’s a cute place. The carnitas tacos street style are my favorite. They had queso birria tacos as their special this time and they were phenomenal. Great beer selection too!
Stopped in for lunch with my granddaughter. We were seated quickly but that is where quick stopped. The place was not busy but people were coming in at a steady pace after we were seated. Several tables were served before our waitress came over. She took drink orders and someone else delivered them. We had to flag her down to get our food ordered. She came and I ordered the daily special of enchiladas. She said wait a minute and left. She then proceeded to visit two other tables before I could get her to come back to ours. She said they didn’t have any specials. I ordered something else. Now people all, around us are getting their food. Finally someone brings us food. One item was my granddaughters the Sopas. They tasted good and she did enjoy them. The other items were some type of tacos in two, different orders. That is not my order. I had a burrito and chips with salsa. There was some discussion done with the staff. All in Spanish of course. Finally another woman came over and said they would get me the right order soon. A burrito came out but no chips. Our waitress said they would come soon. The burrito, was 95% rice, 2 small pieces of chicken, a few tomato pieces and about a teaspoon of white stuff I never figured out what it was. Plus the salsa I ordered was never delivered. Finally chips came with some cheese sauce instead of salsa. The other woman came to tell us she took the chips off the bill and she was sorry. Now about the bill, always check it. I ordered iced tea. $3.00. I asked for a refill. $3.00. They don’t refill. They did not tell me that. My granddaughter had the horchata. $3.50. But they upgraded it to 16 ounces $1.00. The salsa I asked for I was charged $.50. I never got it. This place is very sneaky. I will not go back. If you do ask for a printed receipt to make sure you aren’t being charged for extras you did not get. There are more honest Mexican places nearby.
I want to thank La Tapatia for providing a great place for me to have a going away party at last weekend ? The staff at La Tapatia were extremely attentive to the 30-50 guests who showed during my 4-hour span at the restaurant, and the food and drinks were phenomenal. The manager was extremely kind and flexible with me in making plans, and Camilla, our server, was a rockstar with her service. Thank you again, La Tapatia, for an unforgettable end to my time in Minnesota! ❤
Most authentic Mexican food I’ve had in the burbs. Our takeout orders are always prompt and accurate. The nachos and veggie alambres are our go-to (I didn’t even know what alambres where before coming here, turns out they are a delicious cheesy dish somewhat in between fajitas and nachos). We order beans on everything to make a vegetarian meal.
