Large restaurant, busy staff but still pleasant. I had the Ruben sandwich, it was very good. My wife had the portobello mushroom burger, she loved it. Nice atmosphere, great outdoor seating with plenty of things to do. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Awesome drink specials. Food is mostly bar food done well. But specials can be surprisingly interesting and often good. The wait staff makes you feel at home. They make this place special. They are truly fantastic. Especially Crissie. Give her a raise lol30 Tap beers half of which change constantly. Samples platters available at $5 for 3 is an excellent way to taste new beers. Many of them local craft beer.

What can I say? It reminded me, the minute I walked in, of pubs I visited in Ireland. Of course, pubs in Europe are all similar, and "Whistle Binkie," I'm told, is a Scottish terms for a child's toy whistle or flute. Neat name. The atmosphere is amazing - dark wood trim, perfectly dimmed lights, dark bronze/black tin tiles on the roof, glass windows with open view to a lake, massive European style bar with FOUR HUNDRED beers, high top tables, regular tables, many, many seats at this long beautiful bar. ....and, the reason you generally go to a restaurant - the food. It is best to be prepared to make a difficult decision. Take your reading glasses. The menu has more food items than you are prepared to even contemplate. Order your drink, go scoop up a bowl of fresh, free popcorn, put on your glasses and be prepared to take a while. Meanwhile, the servers are amazing. They will patiently wait for you to decide, they will answer your questions or go to the kitchen and get you an answer. The service is excellent, the food comes out quickly, hot and delicious. A lot of locals eat here. It is always busy, but never too busy. Nice, nice warm environment. Not many patients at the clinic know about this place. Get a driver and go to Whistle Binkies and enjoy yourself.

Went in a week ago foods was really good and our server was amazing but there were 2 other servers sitting at the bar behind us complaining about costumers and thier tips. When we went to leave we were the only other people there and not one of them said good bye or come again. It was a total turn off as we were there getting together having just lost my aunt that morning. The female waitress was going back and forth slamming beers in between helping her customers. We will go back hoping to get our same waiter as he was great

The food, the atmosphere, and the service here at Whistle Binkie's South is fantastic! The fish-and-chips is the best I've had since I was in Europe a couple years ago.If you are ever in Rochester, Don't miss the chance to stop here it's a must

Great food, nice atmosphere, very spacious so you don't feel like you are crammed in. Our waiter was so fast and efficient, my husband and I were both impressed by him, he was dealing with around ten (possibly more) tables, collecting glasses, bringing drinks out, collecting bills, he was absolutely unfazed and remained polite and friendly. He deserves a raise! Our food was great, I had the Philly sandwich and sweet potato fries, amazing! My husband had the turkey club wrap which was also good. They have a huge beer menu, which we will be checking out again one day!

Lots of room here for fun and food. Nice Long bar with lots of tappers for a great variety of beers. Food was really good here I had to try the Scottish eggs. So we bought a sampler platter which had the eggs potato skins chicken tenders and two homemade egg rolls delicious.!

A fun place to eat with a long bar that has lots of tap beers. My wife and I split a sampler appetizers and a shepherds pie. Delicious

This place has hands down the most tantalizing menu and I mean the whole menu is one uniquely tantalizing dish after another. When the food arrives you won't be disappointed it tasted as good as it sounds. The atomiphior and the staff were respectful and curious and finally the price, I'll put it to you This way McDonald's is more expensive
