Their food is always spot on and we always really like the beer / cider selection. I always get the Ruben because their corned beef is phenomenal. I recommend the egg rolls appetizer too. The service is always good too. One of my go to places especially later in the evening.
Decided to get some curb-side to-go since it has been a while since we last ate here. They offer a great selection of different entries. In particular sandwiches', burgers, and wraps. I went simple with a Bacon Cheeseburger and my daughter decided to go with the French Dip (1st time she has ever had this type of sandwich.) She absolutely loved it, making me wish I had gotten it. Not to say that there was anything wrong with the burger, it was delicious as always. The only thing that I would recommend is to maybe have a designated parking spot in front for curbside pickup. Otherwise, keep on doing what your doing.!!
I have NEVER had a bad meal there yet. Slow service yes, but again- it’s the industry these days. No one wants to work, and work hard when you’re there because they are likely short staffed. Would you?Their chocolate cake is to die for. I would get it every time if I could. Food is always hot, well seasoned and the menu has a good variety. The beer selection is above average, always something new to try for the more adventurous or your regular favorites otherwise.
My husband and I have stopped at Whistle Binkie's North often and typically enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. We especially like the daily specials.Last night, I tried ordering dinner online for pickup (something we did several times during the prime of the pandemic and always had a positive experience). Twice, while using their website, I received notice that they were busy, unable to take my order. As I was in the area, and since I was not sure if it was received or not, I stopped in. No servers were to be found, so when the bartender was down near the door, I asked if their online ordering system was down, that I was there to confirm whether my order was received or not. He rudely responded "yea, could be" and immediately went about his business. No offer to check for me, 'let me finish "this" and I'll get back to you, have someone else assist me, etc. I'm hoping it was simply an off-night for this bartender and not indicative of service degradation at this used-to-be 'friendly neighborhood bar & restaurant'.
The food was good. They were busy, we were here for the 4th game in the Wild/Blues series. We had 5 kids with us and had to push some tables together which they accommodated well. The server handoff was a but clunky as far as our billing went but there were only 2 bills so that was a relatively easy fix. We only did appetizers and they were all standard, nothing extraordinary but, they definitely held up to expectations of pretzel with cheese and Buffalo wings. All in all a good visit (other than the final score, but, I won't blame binkies for that)
This was out first time here, we had heard great things and decided to celebrate our mothers 75th birthday here. Place itself was nice and clean. Thats all i have for positive. We got there and our waiter did not even knowledge us for 20 minutes. Then it was about 15 morw minutes until we got our drinks. It was another 45 minutes until he returned, my husband had to call him over and point out our drinks were empty. And we would like to order. After 2 hours and like 10 minutes we got our appetizers and 2 mintues after that we got our food. Worst service of any place i have ever been too. I understand when its busy but 2 hours for appetizers and food? And to top it off the food was cold. Never again would i go there or even sugguest it to anyone. An apologize goes a long way and never got one of them at all.
We love this place and pop by most Sundays for the Bloody Mary bar and food. Hubby loves the shrimp stirfry and hot turkey plate. The Oriental salad is awesome. The soups are so good. Everything is fresh and tastes homemade. We love it.
We went there after a hockey game and the staff were supper busy. They let us know to order right away and we did. The food was just as good as if they were making it during the day. We ordered everything from soup to full meals. Everythign was good and our wait staff were kind. My frends recommended the place as they go there after every game in Rochester.
All their food is so good...the walleye sandwich is my favorite
Hit and miss with the food. More hits than misses. Loved the walleye fish fry. They do daily drink and food specials that are hard to beat in Roch. Great place to watch sports. Also, free popcorn.
