This makes me so sad to write this but I have to warn others if I can. Wanted to love this place, but unfortunately I am still recovering from the worst food poisoning of my life. We ordered two completely different dishes and both of us got food poisoning, which leads me to believe that whoever cooked our food was not washing their hands or taking proper precautions. Expensive but didn’t really bother me much as I understand paying employees livable wages (one can hope that is what they are doing). The food was delicious but honestly will never be able to go back due to how sick I got. Essentially ended up paying $75 at lunchtime just to end up being deathly ill for several days afterwards. Not worth it.
The chips were good. But after that... uffThe menu is too small, the prices too high, the staff too slow, and the food too bland. They used to have a significantly larger menu with some unique dishes on it. now their menu is exactly 7 items. They charge double what other places charge for similar or worse food. Seriously $22.00 for a burrito that has less meat, smaller, and blander than what you'd get at chipotle for $10.00.We had 3 people in our group, the menu is 7 items total. The server still managed to screw up our order, and then over charged us when checking out. This is the last Mexican restaurant you should choose here in Rochester.
We were up here with appointments for the Mayo Clinic and were recommended to go to this Mexican restaurant. First of all we ordered some queso and it taste like sour cream and we had to pay for the chips and salsa and the queso and the two drinks we ordered. Got her food and a taco platter for $20 and they were very little and just a scoop of rice and a scoop of beans. We were going to share this meal because we thought it was going to be really good we ordered ground beef and got chicken instead … she never came back to check on us I had to go up there and tell her she brought us chicken instead of ground beef. We just decided to leave we weren’t gonna order it anymore as small as they are not a not a good place. Don’t bother going there and no wonder there was nobody in the restaurant except us!
Everything on the menu was very expensive. I ordered the Jarritos Special. It came with 4 chicken/cheese enchiladas and carne asada. No beans. No rice. No tortillas. Enchiladas were very good and the carne ok. Just ok. Did I mention no tortillas? Out waitress was nice and polite but, once she took the order we didn't see her until our order was ready. It just wasn't worth the money I paid. $85 would have covered dinner for two at a chain restaurant.
First time there today. I find it really sketchy that they automatically bring you chips and salsa….without asking…and then surprisingly charge you for them! Wont be back on that alone. Food was mediocre. Prices were more than any Mexican I’ve been to. Wont be back. Maybe they should have honest practices and they would have more customers. Shady.
Food was cold, flavorless, cheese tasted like processed cheese food, pork was tough, and it was quite expensive. We ordered the chile rellanos and burrito. We won't go back again. Many other choices in town. We were very disappointed.
First time visiting and most pleased. Yummy, spicy (be prepared for that). Service was prompt, on line ordering experience was straight forward. Good food reasonably priced. Picked up and found the Resturant to be super clean, bright and beautiful.
It feels very wrong giving them one star !! Most expensive Mexican restaurant I've been too. No free chips and salsa .. ordered nachos and tacos taco's were okay.. nochos served with rotten tomato's we ate a total of four chips between two people. They refused to make it right charged us full price for rotten food.. went home got very sick that night. You're better off going to taco Bell !!
Food was great! On Saturday nights it converts into a Mexican night club!
I went to the dance that they usually have every weekend around 12 midnight. They had 1 hour left and I told the lady that's in the register if we were gonna get charge and she said yes and that it's $10 per person. So I told her nicely if we could get it half price or even free because there less than hour left but then she give us attitude. So eventually we pay the $10. We went to the bar ask for a mix drink and I told them if they can add soda water to my drink. They said that they don't have it, which was fine I understand. Drinks are bit expensive. But later my friend ask for water and they said $3 for a bottle of water so he said yes but if they can pour it on a red cup with ice and then they gave him "SODA WATER" when at first they said they didn't have and gave him that instead of water. Management needs to improve.
