First thing if you don't see smoke coming from the vent hoods its probably not smoked ribs. If you don't smell a hint of smoke in the restaurant the meats not smoked. I tried this place while in town I've had much better. Its kind of a waste, ribs not hot no flavor......Traveling around seeking out for great ribs and always trying to find that perfect burger. While in town I'm going to try Famous Dave's to see if Rochester has a good rib joint. If anyone ever in Texas try the ribs. The standard high.....
We decided to try the sampler order so we could figure out what our family likes. After paying $70, our family sat down to enjoy our meal. Not even 2 hours after eating the entire family started feeling sick and having to go to the bathroom frequently. Seriously! Take some pride in your job. Eating out shouldn’t include having to call the health department because you can’t prepare or store your food safely. We called the restaurant after we got over being sick and the person at John Hardy’s couldn’t have cared less. Do not trust eating here or you could be shown the total disregard to your health and your family’s as well.
Beef plate was completely raw and inedible. Fries were cold. Was not offered another plate when I brought this up. Don’t blame current staff as this was 1 year ago. North location has always been good.
The food was decent but the dinner plate and meal plate portions are the same amount with just a different pricel. The wait staff....The waiter was storming around the restaurant, yelling and very short. I talked to the manager on duty and told him I didn't want to him to cone back to the table. Apparently, he didn't have a chance to talk to him. The waiter came over to the table and asked if we needed anything else. At which point, I told him I'd appreciate him not coming back to the table and to send the waitress over. He asked why. I told him because his attitude sucked. That he's been yelling and slamming through doors. He replied with "I'm not in any way" I responded back with "for not in a way you act very angry and you're making it very unpleasant." He never came back to the table. I had to go up and get my own to go container. We had to request for our ticket at the register. Never done a dash and dine but highly contemplated it.
Excellent food and quick service.A definite must to eat here if you're ever in Rochester
Straight into the trash. Fries were cold and soggy. Chicken was burnt, dry and awful. Ribs looked awful but has a few edible bites despite being really bland. Pork was dry and Smokey not in a good way. Beans were bland. Not even those who will literally eat anything in our group would eat this. Anything from the grocery store would be 100x better.
Amazing food! recommended to anyone who love BBQ!
It was very good. My brisket was so good. The chips/potatoes were really good and I am not a fan of French fries. The staff was great I made a valuable memory we were eating and my son inlaw said the ? hot BBQ sauce wasn't that hot they asked him if he wanted them to make him something with more kick. They brought it out to him and said be careful it's hot. He found that out the hard way. I was laughing so hard ?. I am like are you OK He said " I have to wait it out nothing was helping." "Even his burps were spicy" the staff were amazingly accommodating and it was a great time. They even brought him a container to take it home so he could share it with his family. I will definitely be back.
Sooo amazing! Food was great! Tender and fall off the bone. Sauce on the side and coleslaw was great. Got garlic bread and cheese curds. All done well and not greasy. All in all will be back and be ordering extra to bring home.
A local favorite. A must try if you're new to Rochester and love BBQ. There are various sauces available based on your spiciness level. Each plate comes with 2 sides as well. My favorite are the jojos, beans and potato salad. The potato salad here isn't mustard based and has bacon bites in it. A must try!
