Ordered once, never again

I liked their General Tso's chicken a lot and the spicy and sour soup.My girlfriend got the beef and broccoli and she said she didn't like it so they didn't charge us for it. The chicken wings were good, but one of them had a piece of hair on it, so the restaurant gave us a new order and discounted the wings at 50%. I'll eat from them again for sure.

Hunan's was a special place to dine for us for many years. We loved the food, the staff and the friendly atmosphere.Unfortunately the last couple of years things have changed and we were hoping it was just because of the problems with COVID but things have not improved. In fact, we have noticed things like;. the fried rice went from less peas and little egg to the last order, which was white rice with soy sauce on it. No egg, no peas.We ordered again tonight hoping it would be better but the crab Rangoon was greasy and the cashue chicken was doughy and no taste. We will miss our favorite restaurant but just can't pay for this food anymore.

We have enjoyed this restaurant for many, many years. While a few of the recipes have changed over the years, we seem to be able to find dishes that we enjoy. Our children especially like this place which makes it a great choice for us for family meals. The staff has been nice even when they are short on workers.

Food was good, until an eyelash was found halfway through the cashew chicken. Had to put that plate to the side. The fried rice was good as well until there was a hair discovered underneath at the bottom. Guess we couldn’t have that either. The manager asked if we “still wanted to take it home” even after I had explained there were human particles in the food we were eating. She said she’d refund the fried rice but disregarded their new menu entree: Eyelash Chicken. At least They brought out a new order fried rice, this time in a container much smaller than they had originally served. Which is okay I guess. We decided to toss it out when we got home because the all the cooks from the kitchen came out from the back and stared us down as we walked past the kitchen and out the door.Food was good but customer service and cleanliness could use some work.Just be sure to watch out for your food when you order from here, none of the cooks use hairnets.

Since Hunan in Soldiers Field Plaza was closed we took my parents here for their birthdays. The service we received was awful, the food was flavorless (I asked for extra spicy and there was no spice), the chicken was fatty and tough in all of our meals and when it came time to pay the bill the hostess came by and picked up our payment and brought back the change. Then our server tried to collect from us again and we had to explain three times we already paid and then she went and yelled at the hostess. Several years again we enjoyed coming here but no more.

Take out was ready on time, tasty as always and despite being extremely busy we were checked out promptly. Only criticism at all is that they only send one package of white rice no matter how many entrees are ordered.

Awesome place, nice people. I've been going here for years. Such a fun place. And amazing food.

Thus place is phenomenal from the service to the food. The vegetables are fresh, food tasty, service is second to none. This place deserves a visit if you are up this way!

Wanted $30 for just my Chinese noodles & Sesame chicken. I would go to Hyvee and feed the whole family for less.
