We were seated immediately and then waited over 10 minutes before a waitress took our drink order. Then waited another 5+ minutes before drinks arrived. They were not short handed of staff. When we finally got our food it was very good. We should have left with the long wait.
We recently ordered off of their new menu and while the food tasted good, one of my friends and I ended up having the food not agree with us.We ordered the Elote Dip and Shrimp Tostadas. And while both tasted amazing, something made us sick.I am also sadden that you guys got rid of your spiced yam fries, those were my favorite menu item and the reason I kept coming back. I have had multiple times were I have tried to call in an order for food and no one answers the phone, waited a few minutes and tried with the same results.
Happy hour from 2-6 and 10 to close. $2 off drinks. Good margaritas! The service was good, efficient and friendly. The place is basic, a row of tables down the middle with booths on one side and high-top tables on the other. The booth seats were worn and lots of tears, could use a refresh. Food was decent. We started with a quesadilla appetizer, which was tasty but the chicken tinga inside was somewhat dry. We then had the Creamy Chicken Enchiladas ($13) and the Gordo Loco Cheeto Burrito ($19). Both were also quite good. The Burrito was huge and will serve as another meal tomorrow. They have a nice outside dining area between the buildings, which would have been a nice option if it weren't so hot the day we were there. Overall I would say it was a good experience. For my taste, I think there are better options for Mexican food in Rochester, but Hefe Rojo is worth checking out.
The food was petty good. Service was beyond bad. Sat at the bar so I could watch the game and get good service. Was treated with indifference! Ignored and had to ask waitstaff for silverware for dinner. I have never seen anything like this.
Bad food, poor service. Not much else to say. There are far better choices in Rochester and they seem to have plenty of help, so what is the excuse?
Their nachos are great, and drinks are to die for. I also had their Chocolate cake, oh my goodness so good. The server was courteous, and quick with our order.
Awful service. In the area for the mayo and have really started enjoying all the food options available in the area. Wife wanted to go for taco's so we decided to give this place a try. Enter and was told by the bartender to sit wherever, there was only 3 tables with guests, so we sat in a booth. 3 different waitresses noticed and not one came over to say a word for over 25-minutes until we left. We subsequently went around the corner to Thai pop where we had amazing food and service. Don't waste you time on this overly hyped, under served place with all the better options in the area.
This meal was one flavor explosion after another. We all tried something different, from carne tacos to tuna tostadas and they were all amazing. The margarita selection was so unique and they all tasted so good.
Food and drink: greatService: badThis place is set up to be great but every employee there seemed to be brand new and inexperienced- which is nobody’s fault except the scheduler. They had no knowledge of the happy hour deals listed on the website, and definitely tried their best, but there was no experienced MOD for the servers to ask questions. This place has good potential.
we went there for lunch two years ago and was under impressed. we have cheaper better Mexican restuarnts in town. imknow they are trying to separate themselves but you gotta have the food. All I know is for the price and food it's a no for me.
