At the Kahler Grand and the Towers at Kahler the Grand Grill quietly sits, unpretentiously offering great atmosphere, premiere service and solidly consistent great food. The Grand Grill is right across the street from the East door of the Gonda/Mayo building entrance on the first floor of the Kahler Hotel building. It is such a refreshing change from the "quickie" places in the subway and from the cafeteria style food that you find elsewhere. You can be out of the clinic, across the street and in the Grand Grill in 4 minutes. I have been eating there for over a decade. I still see some of the same staff that I saw the very first time I went in there. You will be very well treated. They are friendly, helpful, and patient. The breakfast is soooo good. They serve sausage biscuits and gravy like I have never had anywhere in this world - not even my grandmother's. The biscuits are made with CHEDDAR & CHIVE - soft, moist and tasty with thick, rich gravy full of perfectly seasoned sausage. The lunch and dinner menu is a perfect balance of choices. They are all prepared well and come out quickly and still hot. I typically stay away from hotel restaurants. However, while at the Towers at Kahler, I eat at the Grand Grill several times in a week. This restaurant staff works hard to provide a great experience. You won't go wrong.
Wonderful!! Fish taco's, fish fry & deep fried cheese curds with homemade ranch dressing. I am from Wisconsin so I am picky on these things & the food was so good that we went back for lunch the next day for soup & salad. Quick service & great food
We both ordered the Turkey Dinner! It was very Delicious! Was expecting some pressed type so pleasantly surprised to see it was real roasted juicy turkey. You could taste the slow roast flavor. Cranberry cup was excellent. Fresh mashed potatoes and gravy was very good. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back often during our trips to mayo.
Stayed at the Kaehler Grand. Grand Grill is right on site. Grabbed our dinners to go. All was packed nicely and they remembered silverware and napkins. Food was delicious: Fettuccine Alfredo and the Chicken & Biscuits.
This is our favorite breakfast place while at the Mayo Clinic! We always ask for our favorite waitress Bobbie, and we enjoy visiting with Zoon.Tremendous food, at a reasonable price.Nathan (Owner)Grovom Painting
My wife and I attended a conference at the Kahler hotel, and ended up eating here three times in two days despite there being many other appetizing options. Everything we ate was consistently excellent, beyond expectations. Everything from the fresh juice to perfectly done fries to deliciously tender and flavorful meat. The portions were large and affordable, as well. But beyond that, we were most significantly impressed by the staff. During an unexpected crush of diners beyond what they'd prepared for, they rose to the challenge with hospitality and smiles. They remained authentic and pleasant all the way through, and still made time to connect with each person and even go the extra mile. It was obvious that the team culture of the staff was healthy and strong, and made the whole experience that much more pleasant.I highly recommend Grand Grill!
Has the prime rib dip it was very good. Than she asked if I wanted dessert I said no until she said carrot cake, glad she did it was really good
I went here for lunch in between medical appointments. Service- not crowded at all but waitress didn't notice us for about 15 minutes. My lunch was clearly heated in a microwave. I would call it the same as a tv dinner but that would be a disservice to tv dinners. Maybe similar to the .99 cent tv dinners I bought in college My food was edible, that is the only positive thing I can say. Found a big hair in my food also.
To much Worcester in the bloody marry
We were shocked at the rise in prices at nearly every restaurant in Rochester on a recent visit. Not so this Grand old standard, nestled inside the Grand Kahler Hotel. Under "appetizers" you can order a plate of three fish tacos with all the fixin's -- two is enough for lunch or dinner and you can have the third one the next day -- for $10, a bargain. This is a friendly, homey place - unpretentious but with comfortable booths and servers who've been there forever. Love it!
