YUCK… that’s all I can say. We ordered orange chicken and general tsao’s both with chicken fried rice. All of the “chicken” was gristle or dough. The “chicken” in the chicken fried rice was blackish in color and rubbery, my husband found I would say 1/4 of an onion in the middle of his rice. I tried the crab Rangoon and the filling was cold and STUK, smelled rotten… NOT HAPPY. ?
I have never been disappointed or upset with this place, great food, and portion sizes could feed two people most times! If you're looking for the best Chinese food, this is the place to go!
We have been going here for several years now. Service is quick and food is always great. They always get the particular requests just right. I suggest calling ahead for take out and verses just showing up.
If you're on the fences about Chinese places on Rochester this one would be worth a try, good fried rice and chow mein and has good chicken!

China Star has been my family's favorite Chinese take out restaurant since they opened the first location SE by Cub Foods. Years later, it's still the only one I go to, and when my son and his family visits from Colorado, at least one meal from China Star is required.
