While the decor and building may not be upscale the welcoming staff and generous servings certainly make up for it. We wanted to have a Mediterranean style lunch and we're very pleased with the shawarma. When we walked in I asked for change for a dollar so I could feed my parking meter, they cheerfully gave me 4 quarters but wouldn't take my dollar. What a great way to start off our lunch.
Visiting downtown Rochester for few days and I found this place online. I am glad that I did. Amazing food & friendly staff. Specially if you are looking for Halal option this is the perfect location. I tried many places in the area & this has become my favorite spot. It’s not far from Mayo Clinic also. I would recommend this place to anyone. You will not regret it.

Almadina is a downtown gem and one of the top restaurants in Rochester. The food is consistently cooked properly and is always absolutely delicious. The owners, Samar and Feras, put a lot of passion into the food they cook and the menu items they present--and the results show. I've never had a bad meal from Almadina and recommend it to all of my friends. The menu is also vegan and gluten-free friendly, so there is something for everyone! Personally, I love the lamb chops, chicken shawarma, tabouli, hummus, and falafel. My kids go crazy for the toum (garlic sauce).
My favorite restaurant in Rochester!! Everything I've had is so delicious! I especially loved there somosas, kebob platter, and baklava!! And I always bring home their delicious pastries to eat later, and savor my trip when I'm back home.
Very good. Gyro meat was a bit dry. Arabic salad is yummy and flavourful. Dolmas are handmade but could have used a bit more lemon. Rice was cooked well but needed more seasoning. Fries were good. Kabobs were dry as well but flavourful. Hummus was very tasty too. Staff was very friendly.
The food is AMAZING and the people are very nice I really recommend this place! Very yummy!!
I am in town for a class at Mayo Clinic's school and wanted an affordable option near downtown where I'm staying. It is unassuming from the outside but the food is delectable and service was wonderful; not to mention, the prices were affordable which can be hard to find in/near downtown Rochester. I will definitely be back!
I wish there are many stars to hit but unlucky me , only five ⭐️The best place ever.Good food , desserts,and service.Fresh and hot shawrma, I really enjoyed that place.I will invite all my colleagues to this place❤️❤️❤️????
