Had the Cobb salad and the yellowtail tuna sashimi plus tiba roll and potstickers. All pretty good
We went for restaurant week. The appetizers and the main courses came out quickly before we were done with either of them. Our server was nice but untrained. The food wasnât super impressive: I donât think we will be back.
The food is consistently good at Kona. The last few times we've been there (post Covid) I sense they are short staffed. It took about 20 minutes to take our order however the food arrived very quickly. The restaurant could use a good thorough cleaning as well. Bathroom floors were sticky and our table, while wiped off, had slates with lots of gross stuff in between.
Bathroom was out of order No place to change a diaper for a child and the tables were dirty and sticky. Food was mediocre at best. Not planning to return. Plenty of other places to have a $20 poke bowl.
Kona Grill â Minnetonka should be on your list to check out happy hour Staff is extremely friendly, excellent food and sides. Totally worth it!
Food was mediocre. The ribeye meatballs were good but the mashed potatoes they served them on tasted like starchy boxed potatoes. Sea bass sliders⦠no. The fish was good but the slaw ruined it. Sushi was mediocre definitely had better. It was dusty in the restaurant. For example the lighting above our booth was filled with dust. The booth itself had cracks in the seat. They had a glass partition (dirty) between our booth and the kitchen line but a guy standing over us on the other side of the glass folding napkins chatting away which was disruptive and intrusive to the dining experience. Fold napkins somewhere else not standing over the customer.
Service was good considering it was father's day and kitchen was a little behind.
Drove 4 hours for Fatherâs Day brunch on an invite. Arrived early and still was seated promptly. Could not have been more impressed and happy with all aspects of our experience. Bartender/Server was prompt and attentive throughout our meal. He was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the perfect (spicy) entree. As such, food was delicious, and overall was worth the trip down. We will be back!
Jardon was an amazing server and the food was fantastic. Would definitely come back.
It was Sunday night and very quiet which was great for conversation. The food was good and the wait staff was excellent. She asked when she took our order of any allergies and checked back in with us numerous times.
