Although my dish was way too spicy for me, I can’t fault the restaurant. You order through a QR code and the food comes out fairly quickly. It’s a fun atmosphere and it’s directly connected to ice cream for dessert!Tons of fun options on the menu so there are a variety of genres to choose from.
This was an average experience. The slow cooked lamb yum yum rice bowl was mostly white rice. So for $17 I was underwhelmed. The flavors were there but the lamb was minimal, broccoli was overdone (not fresh). You can see from the photo that cilantro and crushed peanuts were prevalent (lamb barely noticeable, and 3 very small pieces of broccoli) with about 2 inches of white rice underneath. We also had bbq beef short rib lettuce wraps. Here I was disappointed by the fact that we were given half an iceberg lettuce head as opposed to “wrapping” leaves. The service was good - very friendly. I just simply was not overly excited by the meal just as it seemed the chef is not overly excited about what he/she was sending out to the diners.
Fabulous food ,but too expensive for my family. My family of five (wife) and three boys have eaten here on numerous occasions. However, it’s been about 4-6 months since we’ve eaten here. Today- 6/27/2022, I took my three boys to eat here for lunch. They have a new business model where you scan a QR code at the table you want to sit at. We wanted to dine in, but no more counter service orders. Bummer. Oh well, minor annoyance. So my son and I ordered 2 Yum Yum bowls, 2 kids meals, and an appetizer of Hummus. I calculated $56. However, the online cart showed $71! Huh?! I asked an employee to see if it was a mistake, but he said there was a living wage charge. I get it. Workers should be adequately paid for their services. However, I also have a choice to pay with my money. We left the restaurant without ordering. $56-$60, I can spend for lunch, but $71?! Sorry, I’m not that wealthy. As my 13-year old son said, “Dad, we can buy snow crab at Coastal Seafood and eat like Kings for that much money”Other than value, the food itself is fabulous! The owners are super kind as well as the staff. I just feel bad I have to write a negative review. If my wife would have come, our bill would have been about $100.I honestly hope they do well, but I will not be taking my family there anytime soon.
I don’t usually write reviews, but the Mexican steak burger here is definitely ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS I HAVE EVER HAD and this is not an exaggeration! The bun was perfectly soft yet crispy and buttery. The steak paired with grilled onions, avocado, a fried egg, cheese, and the adobo sauce was to DIE FOR. I will definitely be coming back! The Korean burrito was all right, but I will give 5 stars because the burger was amazing!
Ordered the Korean beef burrito and salted chocolate cookie. Burrito was super flavorful just wished jt had been mixed up a bit. Towards the end I was getting all rice. The cookie was MASSIVE (size of my hand) and pretty thin. I didn’t finish the whole thing as the burrito filled me up, so after the cookie sat a while it became pretty hard almost like a toffee.
The inside of this place is very casual and the menu isn't huge, but the food is very good. My favorite is the Tofu yum yum bowl. They also seem to be pretty good at keeping track of allergens and stuff like that. A great spot to grab a quick bite!
You ever go to a place oh this is just another fast food spot? Look at the menu and say oh it sounds good but you know it's whatever?Well that's not World Street Kitchen. The menu is small and very interesting. WSK is in a class of its own. We ordered the Korean 'BBQ' Beef Hummus Bowl, Korean "BBQ" Beef Short Ribs Bangkok Burrito, MFC Biscuit, Crispy Fish, and shared dish of Caramelized Brussels Sprouts. Let me tell you the flavors were simply amazing. The dishes were better than 5 star restaurants I've eaten across the US. WSK dishes have the the type of flavors that stay with you in the great way. The flavor of all the dishes stay with you wanting to come back later wanting more.I can not compare WSK to any restaurant I've been too in the Midwest. They're making it hard for me to want to try other places. I'm literally sitting in a very popular restaurant in St. Paul having a meal I would have ranked 5 stars thinking about the food at WSK. I feel like I'm cheating, maybe I need to go back over and grab a sandwich on the way home.Honestly WSK will ruin it for all your favorite restaurant. The combination of flavors will blow your mind.
It was recommended by one of our residents and I got excited to try it. I took my mom and my 2 year old son. We ordered 3 items ( Short ribs rice bowl for my mom, rice and short ribs for my son and lettuce and bulgogi mushroom for me) and all of them were salty. We didn’t even finished our food. It was disappointing. But, water was refreshing though?
The fried fish with sesame bun - sandwich is to die for. As a vegetarian, who eats fish now and then, I love this place for eating out, but yet getting a nutritious meal.Ordering had moved to doing it on the table over your phone and the only server interaction you have is when they bring your food.Would not recommend for a formal dinner, but for a fast casual choice I would always come back here.
I love the Bangkok burrito and the environment that this place brings. The staff is always friendly and prompt. My only grievance would be the tiny parking lot and not being able to get in and out efficiently for a quick bite.
