I visited yesterday while in Minneapolis for a wedding and was seriously impressed. I had a flight of 6 beers and every single one was above average or better. I tried a bunch of different styles as well. It’s actually hard for me to even pick my favorite because they were all so good. The place was spacious, though I was there during an off time. I would go back for sure if I’m in town again
Customer service was great. Had a larger group and we all had a great time. There are cars and board games for customers to use.FYI… Parking does get full so plan on parking on the street.
Had a delicious porter on tap. Was a refreshing stop on a gorgeous evening bike ride. There was a taco truck for a tasty food option.
Beer was excellent. Good choices. The Arnie Palmer wheat beer was awesome. Very nice location and outdoor seating. Food truck also.
I have visited Venn since it opened several years ago. I love the location, they always have a fairly broad range of beers on tap, and even some wild "unusual" beers sometimes offered, like a "Mexican Dark Lager" or an "Apricot Wheat". I think their preference is for brewing a lot of different beers that fit lots of "check boxes" that prove to be just "ok" to me. They satisfy the masses, no doubt about that. But the location is great, parking can be a slight issue, and often we have to park way off in the side-streets and walk. Why I give it a 4-star is that lately the crowd that is attracted to Venn is kinda loud and "different". No slams whatsoever, it's just not my "crew". And so so so many dogs too! On the night we were there we saw a big dog fight, like right in the middle of the brewery. Crazy.I also am kinda put off by the music selection, which is often very loud and hard-core rock or grunge. Again, no slam at all, just not my personal vibe. Obviously, others love the vibe, as it's often very crowded... So it's just me clearly. Masks are no longer required.I do love love love sitting outside Venn on the large patio, with the light rail trains running out in front. On a beautiful summer evening, that patio is fantastic. So, overall, a solid 4 stars from me. Just not exactly my vibe, that's all. Personal choice clearly.
Perhaps the most dog friendly brewery I’ve visited in the USA (5 stars for that!). Not a huge space indoors but easily accessible via light rail (right outside). Great staff, no food but there was a food truck outside. Beers are better than some of the other breweries in town. Kolsch was especially outstanding as it was crisp and flavorful —- not as easy a feat based on some other places I’ve tried. For visitors, worth a stop on the way to the airport.
This has been my favorite brewery for years, since it opened so long ago. Perfect place to take a walk along the creek or at the dog park or at Minnehaha Falls and then come over for a beer. Really dog friendly. I love that you get to meet other dog owners and people who just want to pet your dog. A big selection of good beer, good food trucks and friendly people. It’s a beautiful place to ride out a snowstorm. It’s great inside because they can open up so many big doors to the outside when the weather is nice.
Venn is a hidden gem!Realized I need a cold beer after hiking at the Minnehaha off leash dog park for over an hour. Googles nearby breweries and discovered Venn just 5 minutes away! I wasn’t disappointed. They had a bunch of beer to choose from and even had a food truck out. They also has large variety of board games but none that I was a fan of though.Overall a good experience. Stop by if your in the area.
Lots of good reviews so maybe my experience was off Bar tender was less than friendly and didn't want to let you try a couple beers like other breweries do before you buy a pint. . Lots of beer choices but not impressed when compared to others in area.
Venn has always got a solid rotation of beer and I like how they’re dog friendly inside and out. The patio is nice and usually feature a food truck. The only thing that bugs me about Venn is that it’s very rare you find a friendly staff member. Not saying I haven’t, but most of the time they seem inconvenienced when you order. It’s disappointing.
