Have been wanting to check this place out and happened to walk by when they were open! Make sure to check hours as they aren’t open too often (which is good for my budget!). I was recommended to try the chocolate peanut butter bar and man oh man if you like peanut butter and chocolate then you absolutely have to try this. I’m not vegan but it was so good. Definitely want to come back for some iced coffee and one of the sandwiches or soups and other treats!
Stopped in for some treats on my daughter's birthday. They were delicious and the person working threw in a pumpkin loaf for her. Super nice! My daughter said she thought the guy seemed really nice even before he gave her the extra treat. Great service and excellent baked goods!
My problem with this location personifies a wider problem with businesses in Minneapolis. Entitlement. After going through the trouble of opening a brick and mortar store, you’d think management would try to base open business hours to the convenience of the customer. The cakes and desserts here are good, but definitely arrive at a lesser quality than the uptown location. Even at that, though, that’s situational as to when you can even get them. The last four times I stopped in, they had almost nothing in stock. This location is open three days a week. Two days now during holiday hours, apparently, till 3:00p.m. Seriously, why even bother at this point? I grew up on the east coast where businesses in cities like NYC and Philadelphia will actually compete for the business of their customers, be it hours of operation, price, sales, etc. There is zero of that here, which is surprising considering how many businesses sadly closed during the pandemic. I’m still a regular patron of the uptown Vegan East location and I’ve never had these problems there, but it’s a bummer because the NE location is less than a mile from my house.

Excellent vegan sandwiches & desserts
We had the Chicken sandwich and the Turkey/cheese sandwich ..also one of the cakes in a mason jar...everything was very tasty and the staff very friendly...it was our first time there so im not sure if people actually stay there and eat in their back patio..but we did and I just personally thing maybe it can use a little cleaning and sprucing up...but overall we had a good experience...oh bathroom was extremely clean also.
What an adorable place! We ordered a couple of sandwiches and then decided to get cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, a poptart, and lemon loaf. Everything was so delicious! If I could give higher stars, I would.
Absolutely amazing food! I am in love with their sandwiches especially the pastrami. Their desserts are top tier! Everything about this place including the employees is awesome. Can't wait to go back!!
