Such a treat! Tried Vegan East for the first time this evening, and it did not disappoint. I adore cake and usually consume non-vegan cake, and this cake blew most other cake out of the water - fluffy, creamy icing paired with moist, rich cake. My vegan bestie ordered two types for us to try- the chocolate peanut butter and the carrot. The carrot cake was the group favorite. The cream cheese frosting was spot on, and I loved the spice blend and shredded carrot. Will be back again for sure!
One of the best vegan sandwiches I’ve ever eaten! Mom had the soup, which was very good, and we sampled the cinnamon roll and the cake in a jar. All of it was excellent, as was the service. Even the customers were kind and cheerful. Then… lemonade cake! Just… the lemonade cake was mind blowing.I would eat here every day if I could.
If it was possible to give it like infinite stars I would, but I can't. Seriously the best vegan baked goods in minneapolis and one of the best bakeries here too. The pop tart is phenomenal.
Decided to check this place out for lunch today because it is 100% plant-based from the sandwiches ? to the pastries . Was super excited to try their dessert as it hard to find restaurants that serve various dessert that are plant-based ?. When I first pulled up, I was instantly attracted to it & noticed that it looked more residential than commercial. The cashier was super helpful with providing suggestions on what I should try for lunch. I was still overwhelmed by their selection of desserts, I was ready to skip the main part of the meal. I first sampled their lemon ? loaf ? cake. AMAZING! It was surprisingly moist. ? For my main meal, I settled on the “Tur’ky” Pesto panini. It wasn’t bad. I would’ve preferred it without the tomato. But, the bread was perfectly toasted & the “cheese” was melted how I like it. Next time I’d like to try the grilled cheese. The dessert I chose was carrot ? cake ?. That was my favorite part. Was still moist after being refrigerated. 7/10.
I got a cinnamon roll, pumpkin bread, and a Smore's bar and everything was excellent and flavorful - truly yummy. I'd be especially excited to go back if they had some items that didn't contain soy (they confirmed that all items contain soy) - coconut and almond baked goods would round out the vegan offerings nicely!
As a new vegan, having options is fantastic. And not only can you get a good lunch or breakfast here, they have an amazeballs bakery for anything you want but fully vegan. It’s a godsend. Seriously do yourself a favor and check them out, keep them in business, they’re wonderful.
Amazing vegan bakery and always top notch customer service. Love getting the grilled cheese lunch here. Got some with my wife, but she didn't really like the soup as much as she thought she would. When I went to ask to exchange the soup for some chips, they immediately refunded me the cost of the soup and gave me the chips.I also ordered my recent birthday cake from here. When we went to pick it up, they couldn't find the order in their book, but thankfully they had the cake I wanted on hand and let us have it. It was as delicious as I hoped it would be.Truly thankful to all the lovely people who work here for the guaranteed quality service and delicious vegan food.
AMAZING food. If you are vegan and you come to Minneapolis this is a place you must visit. Everything in here taste so delicious and the service is great as well.
Oh my goodness. Though the cookie dough cupcake was very tasty my wife’s cinnamon roll was nearly a spiritual experience (not that I know anything about those). It was Warm and luscious - an eye closing and savoring experience. As I’d suggested to the staff they should hold a sign out front when the cinnamon rolls are warm, though it could well cause traffic accidents
Excellent vegan sandwiches & desserts
