My first time today and I must say I’m upset I didn’t come sooner!! The atmosphere was awesome and clean, the food was amazing, and the hospitality (customer service) was above the rest!! Sean was the one that really stood out!! He was so patient and helpful and well mannered!I thought he was the manager!! An older lady accidentally spilled her shake, Sean came right over cleaned it up and made sure she got another one, while cooking and answering the phone at the same time!! That gentleman was doing all that with a welcoming smile on his face!!I don’t eat out much because the food is always trash followed by horrible customer service!!I believe it’s safe to say Urban Skillet I’ll be an returning customer!! Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Was pleased with every aspect of my meal here tonight, perfectly prepared high quality food for a very reasonable price. Staff was very friendly and outgoing as well. Will definitely return!
We had a good experience at Urban Skillet. It was our first time visiting after seeing it reviewed on TikTok. The store was clean and spacious when we arrived for lunch. I loved the aesthetic of the restaurant, and there is a beautiful mural of the Minneapolis skyline on the wall of the dining space. There is a parking lot directly outside.We ordered a few things to share and sample: skillet fries, original skillet burger, blazin chicken burger, and a honey shake. The skillet fries were sensational! They have several different variations and varieties, and I hope to return to try the brisket fries. The original skillet burger was great, perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and very flavorful. The bun had a great texture. I am personally not a big fan of buffalo chicken flavors, and that's how I would describe the chicken burger. That being said, I did go in for a second and third bite, so there is definitely something to be said for it. If you like buffalo sauce, you will probably like this. The honey shake had a light sweetness and was quite creamy.The employees were friendly and worked efficiently. I also appreciate that the food is halal. While I am not from that culture, it prompted me to do more research into what is halal versus haram, so I learned a little bit in the process.Overall, I would recommend this place! We had a good meal!
Urban Skillet is an amazing spot for halal food. As a Muslim, it's rare to find spots like this for my needs. It's beautiful not having to worry about how the meat is processed. Urban Skillet is a great spot to go with your peeps with good burger and fries combo. I had the Original Skillet Burger and it was good not great or amazing. On the other hand, the Buffalo Chicken Fries are outta this world. Omg they are amazing and can be had on their own to fill you up. I plan on going back and trying the other burgers on the menu and also the other fries too. Overall, the fries took this from a 4 and made it a 5 in my eyes and the icing on the cake is the fact it's halal. Highly recommend you go and grab some fries and a burger.
We went in to Urban Skillet tonight and ordered the Oh So Hot burger, the original skillet burger, and the Buffalo fries. While we waited I was staring up at the ceiling like a complete idiot when the owner came out and chatted with us. Such a nice guy and couldn’t have showed more in the food. The burgers and fries were great and the service was fantastic. The honey shake was an added bonus and it is worth every penny. Fantastic experience, will be back!
Heard about the hype from TikTok and wanted to check it out. Definitely worth a visit! I got the blazing chicken burger and thought it was very tasty. Wasn’t super “blazing”, so maybe the spice level is lowered for our Midwestern palates. But I prefer a little more heat.Fries were kinda bland, but I did order the plain fries which literally says “premium boring fries” on the menu so that’s on me. Will definitely try one of the loaded fries next time.I don’t follow a halal diet, but I’m glad to see more options for people who do.Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the day I went much of the cook staff didn’t show up or something so it was very slow and a little disorganized. They did comp me a small milkshake which was an awesome and delicious gesture. And I still tipped the staff because I’m not a baby boomer monster.Food was 10/10 and I will be going back!Hopefully they can figure out the kitchen staff issues though for a better experience next time.
In love with the buffalo wings and buffalo fries! Burgers are nice but a bit too mild for my taste. HALF POUND of beef is just a bit too much. I wish there were smaller options but the toppings are awesome so can’t complain. All in all definitely 100% the wait if you’re in a line! You won’t regret it!!
I’ve been waiting for urban skillet to open and I had the chance to swing by before work! The staff was very sweet and I was able to meet the owner! Seems like a very cool person. The burger was flavorful and VERY filling for the price 10/10 would recommend.Oh and also the place has a cool vibe as well!
