Great food, drinks and cool (inconspicuously train themed) atmosphere. Good for single diners to large groups, including event room and patio. Medium priced, but quality and service are worth it. Great for lunch, dinner, snacks or a nice happy hour. Highly recommend.
1 star for service5 for food3 averageWe hosted a large group on 6/10/22. We tried to make it easy for our group of 13 by having everything on one tab.The server was incredibly slow. Half of our group finally was able to place our drink order after 20 minutes of waiting. It was another 20 minutes to bring back 5 sodas and 2 bar drinks. 10 minutes later, the other half of the group was finally able to place their drink orders.The rest of the pace continued to be slow. It seemed there were plenty of staff, but our server seemed to argue with other staff trying to help our situation.We’ll go back as a small family, but I probably wouldn’t bring a larger group where impressions matter.
So nice, sleek, modern looking. Food was delicious - server was so nice and friendly. Great kids menu and nice menu specials (we went on a Thursday so we got half price bottled beer with purchase of entree). I had a spinach artichoke fried chicken sandwich and broccolini, hubby had fish and chips. Both delicious!

Being a larger restaurant next door to a hotel, the 400 Tavern is a bit of a hidden gem! We visit weekly and love everything about it- great bar that pours a good drink, spacious dining options to suit your mood, and very clean. The food is wonderful- from the Ellsworth Cheese Curds to the chicken dinner to the ooey gooey grilled cheese, nothing disappoints! We recently visited and they were out of their delicious pizza, I was pretty bummed. The manager ended up giving us a coupon for a free pizza on our next visit. Wow! That was very generous and not expected. I highly recommend this place for any of your dining needs- they even have a wonderful private room available to rent. I hope they will soon reopen on Sunday and Monday.
Strong drinks and attentive service at the bar. We enjoy happy hour drinks and apps after work and always have a good time.I’ve gotten food here a few times and it was also lovely.

Went here yesterday, was a great spot for lunch. Not super quick, but not slow either and the quality was in line with the wait, worth it. Drink refills were quick. If I was going to 'knock it", I might say the selection for lunch was thin, but I presume the flip side of that is that there's consistent quality across the available options.Restaurants attached to Hotels are often poor, because they can rely on the built in customers. That was not the case here.
Came here during restaurant week during a relatively slow Saturday lunch service. Food and service were great and the service was top notch. Would like to come back to try some of their regular specials.
