I don't have enough positive things to say. I've been here to celebrate my birthday, to "pre-game" before a night out, to catch up with a friend... you name it. Every time, this place delivers. It's unpretentious, but the food is amazing. The menu is consistently changing, which I LOVE. The service has always been so personal. Check it out if you haven't been.
7/15/2022 Friday afternoon.My wife and I stopped for drinks and appetizers.Every chair in the place was reserved. We sat at the bar. There were even bar stools reserved. Must get really busy later in the evening.We ordered a rye whisky sour and a flight of bourbon. Both were quite tasty.Our food was an order of Parmesan fries, and a brand new menu item just added as we we having our drinks. “Lamb Sliders” 2 per order.Haven’t eaten much lamb in my life, but, those little devils were really tasty.
Really good food. Menu has new specials weekly and has other changes seasonally. Always something good to eat. Richard, Ryen, and Jay are all terrific bartenders that know how to make some tasty drinks. My favorite is the Vodka Lemonade.
Came in for appetizers and a cocktail and was BLOWN away! You must got. Great service and adorable spot. Had the charcuterie board, pretzel, dirty martini and aviation. 10/10.
After a couple of years of driving by and saying we've got to check out this place, we finally visited last night. We're kicking ourselves for not coming sooner. An eclectic menu that is well executed. I went with their burger and was impressed with the flavor (they add pork belly to the grind mix) and the fact their bun held up well. The fries are some of the best I've had in the cities. My wife had shrimp & grits and they were terrific. (We lived in North Carolina for 12 years so we know good S&G ) The shrimp was cooked perfectly.On top of the great food, the service was very good. Richard, at the bar, was friendly and informative. We're coming back and bringing friemds!
Its good. Nothing mind blowing. Good selection of drinks. Great waiters. Decent sized tables. Wasn't too crouded when we went. Wasn't too loud. I didn't feel like I had to shout to talk to friends at my table. Great location. Didn't try the food. This is more of a restaurant than a bar. The name caught me off guard. Still a good experience overall.
Met a couple for drinks and dinner at The Sample Room. We shared the Amusement Board as a starter. It was great and just the right amount for four of us. I tried the Shrimp and Grits which was very good and would definitely order again. My wife had the Jalapeño Braised Beef Cheek which was incredibly tender. Would definitely visit again.
The staff were kind, friendly, & knowledgeable regarding both drink & food menu. Service was great, the restaurant was clean, & food & drinks were excellent. Can't wait to come back!
Super cozy, lovely staff, delicious brunch. I've never had a more perfectly poached egg. Great little spot!
Just a great restaurant. The menu was unique and seasonal and everything the spot. The interior is a great place to catch up with friends over wonderful food and drinks at a reasonable price.
