Delicious food and fun atmosphere. Two friends and I went last night and couldn’t decide what to order so we split three dishes. The Fish & Chips, the pulled pork tacos and the tortellini. The batter on the fish and chips melted in my mouth. The flavor of the sauce on the tortellini was amazingly tasty. Will definitely be back!
Great place for relaxed indoor or outdoor dining. Extensive drinks menu. We had several appetizers: chicken wings, cauliflower bake, mozzarella flatbread --- all excellent. Carne asada was delicious. Staff were attentive and friendly. We'll be sure to return!Love the newspaper "wallpaper" with both historic and made-up headlines! ???
The service and food were equally uninspired and not tasteful. The steak was tough as shoe leather. Appetizers and drinks were ordered, with the appetizers not showing up until after the main course was served. The drinks were terrible.
Service was good, friendly, and efficient. Food was good, but nothing extraordinary. No complaints, and I enjoyed it! (we had a burger, turkey burger, jambalaya, salmon, cauliflower appetizer, and ham croquettes) I think the one I wouldn't order again would be the croquettes... again, they were fine, but nothing spectacular. The burger was delicious and actually cooked exactly as requested. The salmon was not "fishy" or old. The turkey burger was not dry, as many can be. Basically, great execution. Perhaps there was a little too much cheese on the cauliflower, but that's just personal preference. I'd go back in a heartbeat. It's a great place to hit for a meal before a ballgame or a show.
We ate outside and enjoyed that experience. The time it took to first connect with our server and get waters was long and made us begin to question if they knew we we there. The time it took for food to be served was long and our entrees came very close to our appetizers.the server advised that it was preferred that we order the dessert choice while ordering our entrees so it could start being prepared and arrive towards the end of our meal. The dessert did not arrive until at least 20 minutes after all entrees were finished. The quality of the food was good.
This was the first time we have eaten at this restaurant. Service was terrible. Drinks were not very good. The most upsetting thing is we ask for some syrup for our chicken and waffles and they did not bring it until we had already finished our meal. Then they wanted to charge us $1.50 for the syrup we never use. Very disappointing.
Food was good, service was somewhat slow. No fault to the staff; I suspect they were understaffed, though it was also the dinner rush on a Friday night. Had a reservation for 6:30, took 20 minutes to be able to place an order and didn't get food until 7:30. The food was good, but we had tickets to a show at 8 and were too stressed about being able to make it in time to enjoy dinner. Otherwise, the restaurant was good! There was what looked like a bachelorette party a few tables away so the noise level was high. Food was good, same for drinks. We would go again, but would definitely plan for earlier in the evening.
Pretty good restaurant in the heart of Minneapolis. The theme itself is worth visiting, they really take the whole newspaper idea and run with it. We started off with some drinks and the margarita flatbread, very good flatbread I must say, the cheese was delicious! The jambalaya pasta was also very delicious. Sometimes I can find jambalaya a tad salty but this one was just right. In my opinion it can be a little pricey but the food quality is there and service is good too.
Worth checking out for the ambiance alone.The patio views and fun feel of the inside are 5 star for this area, but I wasn't as impressed by the Salmon, and overall plating of dishes, or service.(Sadly, I didn't get a chance to try any Bar drinks because I was driving)
Got to restaurant 45 minutes before closing. Restaurant was very busy but we were seated quickly. Staff & service were friendly. Food was delicious. Ordered brie cheese curds, filets & fish & chips. Everything was hot & cooked to perfection. Loved the ship bar.
