It breaks my heart to say this but this place just isn't special anymore.I used to live in the neighborhood, I'd been there easily thirty times, it was my favorite breakfast in Minneapolis. In the years since, they've remodeled and overhauled the menu and now all the charm is gone. The new corporate owners were listed on the bottom of the menu and that's how it feels now: corporate. Sanitized. It used to be a vibe, now it's a brand. The portions were never generous but they got smaller. Not a single unique or interesting item to order. But it was still pretty yummy and reasonably priced. Staff were great. If I had never been here before I would've had no problems.

The name says it all.Ordering online and having the servers bring out the food is a great concept, but they don't seem to have the process down.We both ordered separately at the same time. Beverages came out, one meal came out and the other one was completely overlooked. This was during a time where there were 3 tables and 3 wait staff, so I'm not sure of the disconnect. The food is average. Nothing special here. Large portion, but mediocre food.Lastly, there is a 16% service fee and that fee doesn't go to the server. What? So for non-wait staff service you automatically pay 16% and then you have the option to tip the staff. Not sure why anyone would work here.I won't be visiting again. There are better food options.

I was a frequent flyer here before covid. I used to go here several times a month despite it being a bit of a drive for me. I only write this review out of love for what the Bad Waitress used to be. I'm not sure what happened but it feels like a completely different place. I'm not sure if they changed owners or just lost their way. They no longer serve any of their specialty malts. The whole aesthetic of the diner has changed to a more bland setting. The ordering has changed from the old school write it on a piece of paper and then bring it up which was fun and unique and now its just order it on your phone and you don't really interact with anyone. In my opinion it has changed from a unique quirky diner with a fun atmosphere and great specialty food and malts to the run of the mill diner that every town has (except those other diners give you a lot more malt for $9).On the positive side the malts were good and the chicken and waffles were fantastic.

was very prompt with ur food

Although they messed up mine and my sister's order, the energy in this place is addictive. Good vibes and yummy food.

I stopped in out of the blue in the early afternoon & was hungry for blueberry pancakes, the waitress who took my order assured me breakfast was served all day. My pancakes came loaded with blueberries, the syrup was piping hot & the bacon crisp. I told the manager I have had blueberry pancakes on the East, West coast, also several restaurants in Florida & these are far & away the best

I had some work to do and needed WIFI fast. I was very lucky to find this place. It was immediately very welcoming and they allowed me to sit in a corner booth where I could focus. I had a great lunch, and the self-service procedure was easy and fast. This is a great place to grab a good meal or a drink. Would definitely recommend and I’ll be back if I’m ever in the area.

Great service! Really liked the mobile order experience. Super easy for split checks since everyone places individual orders through their own phones. The Nicollet coffee is super yummy!

Great diner with extensive vegan options. I’d you’re looking for a vegan pancake, this is your place in MPLS. Soo good, reminded me of a classic griddle pancake. The scramble is a little chunky as other mentioned but very good. Fruit was fresh. I got my meal to go but it was great to enjoy at home.

The service here is extremely poor. I ordered a Belgium waffle which was decent and my boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito which he enjoyed. But he received his breakfast burrito 20 minutes after I received my waffle. For a place that wasn’t that busy and the fact we paid via QR code, this is absurd.
