The food and service were superb! Pretty pricey though.

We went here before a show at the Orpheum. The food was good as well as the service. It wasn’t loud, so we could actually have a conversation.

As much as we have wanted to try this place, it was our first time here for a quick lunch. I must say that the place looks very modern but homey. We decided to eat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and efficient. We ordered the Margherita pizza which we were very unimpressed with! The crust was ok but the sauce was very far from it! It was overcooked (it shouldn't be cooked at all) and sugary (sugar should never be used in tomato sauce), very disappointed! I am hoping that other dishes will be better.

My wife, her cousin and I had a very nice lunch in mid-July at Tavola. They don't havw a lot of menu items, but all of ours were great! My wife enjoyed a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was really tasty but the fries were outstanding. We asked what was on them and Jason, the bartender and our server said "salt and pepper - overseasoned." They were perfectly fried. I had a Caesar salad with whole anchovies and a perfectly cooked salmon filet, and my wife's cousin also had a filet on her mixed greens salad. I also had an espresso which was served in a wonderful little demitasse cup. I hadn't seen such a cup since we were last in Europe.

We were there on a Tuesday night, so didn't expect a big crowd, but they did have a solid number of diners. Service was prompt, server was knowledgeable about the menu and the food was delivered with enough time to relax and converse. We were at the restaurant a couple of years ago and the service was horrendous - great improvement - we will go back again.

Appetizers were the main event and best food for dinner. The entree (chicken piccata and bucatini meatballs) weee extremely salty to the point of inedible. The restaurant was great and prepared alternatives. Atmosphere is lovely and the service was excellent.

Pasta was so so. Expensive for small portion. Entrance confusing with poor signage.

Nice upscale Italian restaurant in downtown Minneapolis. The menu was limited but varied enough that there is a good selection of foods from pork, steak, chicken, and even vegetarian options. They have a very nice selection of wines, craft drinks, and was pleasantly surprised with the separate menu of mocktails. Ambience is very pleasant and service is good and attentive.

Good choice for a nice dinner, great ambiance and value

Food was decent. Venue was too dark. The servers and staff were terrific though.
