Place felt pretty authentic especially on Lake Ave! Props for having bottles of Topo Chico.A side note, I don't know if the AC is broken or turned off but it was stuffy and hot inside.

The customer service here is excellent! The food is to die for. It is so good. I highly recommend coming here to get food ~ even to try something new. I got the Torta De Pollo and wow. I was amazed at how good it was. I highly recommend that item kn the menu.

The food and service here is very good and I will return again and again lol. Me and my friends enjoyed it here, this is a must visit spot. I like the vibe and the staff and short waiting time. The food have flavor and authentic, the drinks are also very good. Come here and enjoy it.

Amazing, delicious food. The staffs are so friendly and understanding. They took the time to explain the menu even when the restaurant was busy. Overall, love it.

The plate infront of me is a “mulita” . The tatted out register lady seems to not know their own menu. She made it clear to me that they ONLY make Asada Mulitas but when I got my food, they gave me beef! I politely asked if I could get what I ordered (asada mulita) and they denied the request. The ceviche was not seasoned at all, shrimp is stiff. Tomatoes feel old . Every lime I received was completely dry. The Birria Tacos are DRY. My girl asked for no onions in the consome and they still added them. I enjoy authentic Mexican foods and this place was not it. My favorite item was the cucumber water . Very disappointed. No one does birria well these days . If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, HIGHLY recommend El Sazon in Eagan.

My friends and I all ordered separate. We all sat at a table and within 5-10 minutes they already had their food and eating. 20-30 minutes pass and I still never received my order. I finally go up to the counter and ask about my order and it was never made or being made. By this time my friends were done eating so I asked for a refund. I was excited to finally try Birria tacos but unfortunately I didn’t get to and nobody even cared they were actually kind of rude so I won’t be recommending.

Many good Mexican restaurants and taco trucks along E. Lake St. We rolled the dice and ended up here. A somewhat obscure place lost amongst the many store fronts that can confuse the eye when navigating Lake St and trying to find that place you wanted to try. Sitting on Bloomington and Lake St the scars from Mr. Floyd’s fate surround you and for me at least brought me back to that defying moment of my lifetime. This unassuming restaurant had a club feel with booming Latin music greeting you as you figured out what to order. We went with six carne asada tacos and a couple jarritos. A few minutes later six carnitas tacos arrived at our table. Growling stomachs told us to eat them without complaint. Without the fried onion they would be extremely bland. I ordered two asada tacos just to try and they arrived quick and correct. The grease dripping from the tacos quickly mangled the tortillas into a soupy, soggy mess that could barelymake it to my mouth. A little more flavor in the steak tacos but that heavy grease made it impossible to finish them. I noticed many tables having Birria tacos and maybe that was the way to go. If you like street tacos and Taco Bell this place will give you what you want. Nothing to really talk about good or bad from a Mexican restaurant that I hope doesn’t get lost in the Street Taco shuffle on East Lake St. No golden taco this time but who knows I may stop back to try the birria tacos, maybe!

It’s hard to impress this San Diegan, especially when the restaurant has the same name as an iconic Mexican restaurant in Barrio Logan, but, I’m impressed. The birria tacos are legit and my taco craving has been satisfied. And the horchata was top notch.
