The gift basket far exceeded my expectations. It was beautifully put together in a lovely wooden crate and my clients loved it as part of their Girl's Night event.
As much as we are not really impressed with their selection of meats and cheese as they can be mostly found elsewhere, I give them a 4th star just because they carry our beloved Dutch drink, "Genever" which is very hard to find.
I used to think this was a great place to shop since it was close to my house, had a great selection and the prices were acceptable considering the convenience of having a liquor store so close to my new apartment but today changed my mind completely.I made an online order for 6 bottles of wine and when I got my order completion email, I drove to the store to pick up my order. I went to the pick up parcel lane and waited for approx. 10 minutes and no one came out to help me a car pulls up behind me and the man inside looks at me through my window, then looks at the car behind me. He comes out and gets their order and then goes back inside. I wait a few more minutes and no one comes out to help me so I went inside to get my order. I then told the person that I had been waiting outside for 10 minutes and that the car behind me was served and the man doing pick up orders looked right at me and hadn't come out to ask me about my order at all.I'll never shop here again since this is how people of color will be treated.
Love the cheese shop. Plenty of staff on hand to get you in & out quickly if so desired. They also sell Hauenstein, a local Minnesota beer that has been brewed since 1864! Check it out!
Had issues w app 0aemt after 20 minutes of trying to get app to work turned around an the wonderful gentleman working there the taller one Santa face very cherry fellow he was said ur good to go he actually compt our purchase what a wonderful place an gracious at technology issues very wonderful made my week for sure . Appreciate them there at Surdyk's for sure
Fine for a government run liquor store. They probably have what you're looking for, but have your ID ready no matter how many times you've been there. It's a government building so bring a mask.
Great selection, great prices, knowledgeable staff. This has been one of my favorite liquor stores for more than 20 years. Don't miss the grocery and deli selections as you come in the door.
I love Surdyk's so much! There was a crazy lady there making a scene, but the manager handled it beautifully and the Limoncello I bought was wonderful in the cocktails I mixed that weekend. All the cheeses and liquors they have recommended to me have been major crowd pleasers (try the Green Goddess Gouda) and the service is always superb.
The sandwhichs are ready on demand, warm and delcious.
Their customer service sucks. I went to purchase 3 cigars and two bottles of whiskey . Get to the register to check out and the cashier reached for my cigars which wasn’t in a plastic wrapper so I told him that I didn’t won’t his hands on them , he perceived to catch an attitude with me . Paid for everything he didn’t asked if I would like a bag I asked for a bag and ask if I may see a manager. Long story short. I returned my purchase. He and the manager have terrible social skills. Will never shop there AGAIN!!!
