Decent food, great atmosphere, clean & friendly staff. Being from the south the yams weren't it, but the greens & jerked chicken (open up my nasal cavity with the spice) were pretty good. I ordered the "Southern Hospitality", which traditionally comes with fried chicken.. Due me arriving close to closing, they were out of fried chicken -- so I requested jerk chicken instead; it was definitely jerked (in a good way)... Checkout there cornbread with honey lavender drizzle. FYI its definitely a lot of food, which I underestimated.

I had a great experience with Soul Bowl! I build my own bowl and had Mac and cheese, jerk chicken and corn. The portion size was more than enough and the flavors were incredible! I definitely tasted the jerk seasoning/sauce and it paired nicely with the Mac and cheese. The staff was incredibly friendly and I liked that there were vegan/vegetarian options. I would definitely go back.

Stumbled upon this gem while at the Modist Brewery close by. It’s situated in an indoor two-floor food court with bars on both floors and all the places having food truck vibes. Perfect for the rainy day. The lady that took our order and delivered our food went by Solo and she is a wonderful employee to watch. She alone was running the front (register, packaging food and delivering). She offered us samples of the sides when we asked her opinion on some items. She was also very plentiful / not skimpy with the food portions whatsoever. I was honestly baffled on the amount of food she packed into the bowls. She made it like she was the customer wanting everyone penny they were spending. The food itself was delicious. We both made our own bowls. Rice, macaroni, jerk & fried chickens, sweet yams, corn, collards cornbread, etc. was all good. 10/10 experience from me.

Graze in general is a great place for the indecisive. I wanted fried chicken and soul bowl did not disappoint. The food is comforting. The collard greens were smoky. And the yams creamy and soft. As for the girls behind the counter super helpful. As everything looked good and they made a hybrid to my meal so I could get all the tastebud feels. Thank you! And we’ll definitely be back. ?

We were in town for Gay pride and looking for food that was nostalgic and that presented our West Indian culinary and Afro-American traditions in a tasty and meaningful manner. While the vibe of the place overall is amazing because Graze hosts different restaurants which also attracts so many people of varied cultures under one venue with relaxing yet hip music in an inviting setting, Soul Bowl is a bit of a let down. Our order was about $34, we ordered the southern hospitality with includes Mac and cheese, collard greens, candied yams, and fried chicken. We thought to enhance our meal with a side of sweet plantains, and finally a peach cobbler cheese cake.I would like to preface this review by saying that we were so excited by the gentleness and general kindness of the very busy staff, we feel bad about what we will share.Soul food need not be Michelin star quality to make one feel comforted. That said, the mac and cheese did not have any cheese flavor, in fact all we could taste was salt. The collard greens were mushy and did not have elements of smoke or ham. The most difficult bit to share is that the candied yams while approaching the proper texture lacked in depth of flavor and not even the slightest bit of sweetness was discernible. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy but there was not any sort of spice or seasoning that could be tasted.Lastly, the fried sweet plantains were simply inedible and fried completely through so as to rob the dish of any sweetness or tenderness. The peach cobbler cheese cake tasted fine but it was nothing to write your grandma about. We literally threw out all of our food and felt terribly about doing so but we were afraid of experiencing stomach issues.

My mom and I went to Soul Bowl for lunch! We couldn’t find it at first until we went upstairs. I got the plant based caribe bowl and my mom got the plant based bbq chicken with rice and mushrooms. Both bowls were really good and filling, I really enjoyed the spicy and sweet combination of the caribe bowl with the pineapple, plantains, and slightly sweet chicken. My mom loved the smokiness of the mushrooms and bbq sauce. We also got blueberry lavender lemonade, it was not too sweet or too tart. We want to try more of the plant based chicken and other sides, we’ll be back!

I ordered a Caribe bowl, side chick salad, and fried tomatoes. In the bowl, I wish that the chicken tasted more jerk. I tasted some of the spice, not a lot of the jerk sauce. The plantains were my favorite part of this bowl. I ordered a side chick salad, I wasn't a big fan of that either. I didn't know what to expect with it, it was lettuce, cheese, and jerky. The best part of the meal was the fried tomatoes, I was really happy with how they came out. They came with a buffalo sauce as well, but the tomatoes were so tasty I only used the sauce sparingly. I was hoping the entire meal would taste better, if I did end up coming here again, I'd probably just get the fried tomatoes. The proportions felt a little small for how much money it cost.

Let me pre-face this by saying, I’m not one to write reviews unless the experience is above and beyond or absolutely terrible…… I was so excited to try this place as I’ve been traveling back-and-forth to Minnesota for the last month and really tired of eating out. So I chose some thing that isn’t typical takeout food or fast food. I thought the menu was very clever and interesting so that made me believe the food was going to be amazing.Unfortunately, the food was far from amazing. I ordered the Southern hospitality meal which comes with fried chicken, greens, mac & cheese, and yams. I also ordered the peach cobbler cheesecake. I honestly can’t say anything good about ANY of the food.Chicken - over cooked, over seasoned, batter falling off, fatty.Greens - taste dirty (like they were picked from the ground and not washed)Mac n cheese - all noodles and 5% cheeseYams - not seasoned with that sweet southerness I was hoping for.Peach cobbler cheesecake - tiny slice for $9 but it didn’t matter because it wasn’t even good. I took one bite and trashed it.I was really disappointed because they have a 4.5 rating and I’m so confused on how. Visually, it doesn’t look that bad but the taste is off. Maybe it was an off day but for the price, I will not try this place again.

The food is delicious! The spice is on point, the flavor is perfection and the space is full of life. I'd go everyday if I could!FYI: Soul Bowl is inside The Graze and the drinks aren't bad.

This is my 2nd time ordering soul bowl. I got the hospitality bowl both times & it was really good. They do season everything pretty heavily so be mindful of that. It’s a new take on classic soul food. Everything is always cooked perfect & they give you alot. Mac & cheese is really cheesy & the greens are so good. Yams are really sweet but taste good mixed with the Mac. I could have easily shared this with another person. The corn bread is also really good, it’s different than anyone else’s as the butter is infused with lavender.
