I had a great first experience with Smoke in the Pit! My wife and I both got the rib tips dinners: mine with mac & cheese and her's with baked beans. The rub has great flavor and there's a little kick of spice in everything we had which we both enjoy. I'm picky about my BBQ but I will definitely come back for more at Smoke in the Pit.
Always sensational food! Very friendly staff, good sized portions and inexpensive prices. I believe Smoke in the Pit is the best BBQ restaurant in Minnesota.

The food was fantastic, seasoned incredibly well and their proteins were very tender. Love their spaghetti, mac & cheese, brisket and rib tips. I would love to come back and try the other items on the menu.
This place is amazing and the owner is extremely nice and accommodating! The catfish, candied yams, and greens were the best! Will definitely be back when visiting again.
The smoked wings are delicious! As is everything else. It's a take out place, with some outdoor seating available.
Some of the best barbecue in town! There's usually a long line and they're usually sold out because the food is so good! They have excellent appetizers, entrees, and desserts! The meat is tender, moist, and cook properly. And they have non meat options as well.
Stopped in for the first time recently. The smoked wings had fantastic Smokey flavor. The real highlight of my order was the catfish platter. Perfectly cooked and seasoned catfish. Great service and such a friendly crew!
