This is the second chance given to this establishment and I am NOT pleased at all first and foremost, what is the point of a starter when it is brought to you when the food comes then to wait two hours for the food and once received it was completely wrong?! So we are to pay over 200 for a meal and wait over two hours for it? Absolutely NOT! I have never felt so disappointed and disgusted by service in my life. And to have the attitude of the guy who brought out the salads to say that âHE COULD NOT TAKE SOMETHING BACKâ so we receive terrible service, late food, lies and the wrong order? How about our evening plans? We canât get those back because our evening has been ruined completely. I will never EVER bring my family back. And the Manager Bart had the nerve to call himself a manager with a wrinkled shirt. Understanding the restaurant lifestyle as far as the heat going, but I would never peak around the corner to âtest the waters of who Iâm dealing with in plain sightâ, nor would I come to the said party with a wrinkled shirt. All together this was the worse second impression and the first wasnât any better. Definitely in need of review for inadequacy.
The price of the lobster rolls has gotten so high $32.95 that we wonât be coming again soon. I had the lobster cob salad which $21.95 with just as much lobster. We sat on patio which is relatively quiet. Way too noisy inside the restaurant.
We love the vibe and Nick our favorite server goes above and beyond to take good care of our crew! We will be back soon...thank you!!
Ok. Had a reservation for a birthday. But wasnât mentioned. Love the poutine.
Great seafood, pleasant space, nice staff. Two thumbs up!
Too hot to sit outside but the ambiance inside is very nice too. The Shrimp Bruschetta appetizer is fantastic, large shrimp and great bread. Our meals the CONNECTICUT STYLE LOBSTER ROLL and STUFFED SALMON were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great seafood/salmon meal.
Fantastic lobster, our server was wonderful, great location in the north loop!
Smack Shack is our go to spot to bring out-of-town guest. We always have a great meal with great service in a great environment and this was no exception.
Overall, I enjoyed Smack Shack. I like the ambience of the post-industrial building and the outdoor patio - well-shaded for early dinner. The menu is great, full of all sorts of lobsterish ones that remind me of living in New England. Lobster Guacamole was good but maybe too mild, in need of a little something to step it up - but still good and a good idea. Connecticut lobster roll was lovely. The food quality was very good, but also very expensive. But, then, lobster are tough to find in any of the 10,000 lakes ð. Service was kinda slow; beer ordered before food came after both starter and main sphere served. That was unfortunate. Overall, a good experience and a nice feature of North Loop.
I really enjoyed the management and atmosphere this time around. A couple months ago I had a bad experience with the manager who later apologized for his actions good to see the same staff minus him. Excellent experience this time around will definitely be back soon.
