so friendly very clean and the food was amazing mango juice was bomb yum I've never ate from this kind of food and I'm super glad I tried it well definitely be back ?????
The service was amazing, they were soooo nice!!! My wife and I were in town visiting family at the hospital and wanted to grab a bite to eat of something NOT McDonald's or pizza. This definitely hit the spot and we had lots of food to return to later.
Great Food and huge portions!
After walking by this place off and on for quite awhile, we finally tried it and the food is really good. We had the chicken tikka masala and chicken jalfrezi, spice level: hot. Both were really solid. I almost always get tikka masala when ordering indian food, but I think i liked the jalfrezi better, which was the owners recommendation as I was looking for something different. Generous portions, fair prices, great food, nice people running it. We'll definitely be back to try the somali food, as well as the espresso and lattes. Wish I'd stopped into this place sooner!
Our first time at Shifa and we will definitely come back! We tried five different dishes: Moghal sagwalla, korma, dal, coconut curry, and sambusas and all were delicious. Plenty of leftovers for lunches and very reasonably priced. The menu is much more extensive than what shows up on the web so call or stop by. We did a take out and it was ready in about 15 mins. Now we know why our neighbors have been raving about this place. A great addition to E Lake street!

We LOVED the Chicken Suqaar and my new favorite mod-day break is grabbing a cup of Somali sweet tea. Super friendly staff and delicious entrees. Love that we can also order chicken tikka masala for our kiddos too. Don’t forget to order some Sambusa! So glad to have this wonderful restaurant in our neighborhood.

Great service and amazing food, I got the Jalfrezi with Lamb and my wife got the veggie Coconut Curry. The coconut curry was so creamy and sweet - very filling and quite spicy! The Lamb in the Jalfrezi was my favorite part, I asked for Extra Hot (after the obligatory “are you sure?”) and it definitely delivered! Each order came with a generous amount of food and had enough to take home extra. Will come again!
