Today was a great day because I had ice cream from two different local spots - what could be better? I had Bebe Zito’s ice cream in the afternoon and hopped over to Sebastian Joe’s later in the evening. While Bebe Zito’s ice cream is unique, inventive, rich, and luscious, Sebastian Joe’s ice cream doesn’t evoke strong adjectives. From my perspective, it’s fine. It’s far from bad, but for the price you’re paying and the length of the line you’re waiting in, I expect much more. To me, their ice cream is forgettable…
Still one of the best!! Try Chocolate Coyote if they have it, otherwise Oreo is rough to beat. They do cones, cups, shakes, and malts (malt>shake), so there's something for everyone.
Hands down my favorite ice cream in the world, with consistently mediocre service I'm sad to say. My requests to pay for my ice cream before they serve it up is not heard, allowed or ignored; when I call in pre-orders I need to convince the staff to take my credit card to prepay & confirm the item will be available (there is a distinct "stoner" level of energy with confusing the numbers/name etc, always just wanting me to just "stop by" and not preorder a party pickup) -- It kills me a little to give 3 stars for service since I bring new people there regularly & even rented coolers w/ dry ice to take the Rasp Choc Chip to my wedding in another state. Such tasty ice cream! It's too bad they don't foster attentive staff like Cafe Latte & other similar counter service places seem to do.
The previous night I was craving ice cream and so drove out to the other store from my Hotel in Bloomington. Today I wanted ice cream again so I made the special trip to this store, the original one. Sebastian Joe's offer deliciously creamy homemade ice-cream with a wide choice of flavours. I had two scoops, one of Rum & Raisin and one of Toasted Coconut and both were amazing!! I would highly recommend a visit. Staff were very friendly also and prices reasonable.
A reliable choice for a cold treat. I've never been there only to find it too busy, usually little to no line in my experience. A good selection of flavors and sweet upgrades to choose from. The staff is patient and friendly and I appreciate that the space always appears clean.
A fun place to go to! Very family friendly and prices are good. I’ve taken my nieces there and they have a nice area outside to sit and relax. It’s also near other cute shops. The best part? The ice cream of course!

Huge selection of flavors but we weren't allowed to sample any ahead of time so I was really reluctant to try something new, but I did and sadly I was disappointed.The two flavors I chose(toasted coconut &Blackberry) were ok but had I sampled them beforehand I wouldve chose something else. Nothing wrong with them just not what I was personally expecting or craving at the time...I didn't finish it just had a couple bites of each. My friends were happy with their selections.The man behind the counter smiled and was friendly and helpful, he answered our questions best he could and was very patient as we ordered.
I popped in to buy a pint of rum raisin ice cream for a friend. It looked delicious, but it cost $11 (and very loosely packed, at that). The prices are not listed, so I was pretty shocked at the register. The server wore a mask around his mouth, with his nose completely exposed. I won't go back.
My friend and I had heard so many good things about them and we were craving ice cream. We drove all the way out from mound to the linden hills shop February 17th to be told we needed to wear masks to come in and be served. Nowhere was there anything posted about this online nor on the door. Had we known this we never would have driven a half hour to have gone and now we will never try to go there again because of this treatment. We went to shakeshack and it was wonderful!!! Now they will get our business again.
