This outstanding, hidden, treasure hasn't skipped a beat since i discovered it 20 years ago, they even sell their homemade sauce jarred ! This place can do no wrong, customer service? Yup, got that too, even seating despite its size.
Best place for pulled pork or chicken in the twin cities and makes Dave look not so famous in comparison.Better value, better product super fast service. Joe made my night tonight he was epicly nice. Made me feel at home even though the dining area is small. I absolutely recommend this to anyone who like a good pulled pork or chicken, both phenomenal . Also I have yet to have the pleasure to try their other bbq goods but want to some day!
I've been wanting to stop here for years, but the timing never worked out until today. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was messy yet very delicious.
Meats are not smoked, but oven baked. We ordered ribs and chicken online, and were told to arrive in 45 minutes. When I got there after 50 minutes, my order was not ready. The employee went to the back and came out after several minutes, he had just packed them in Styrofoam (are those even still allowed in Mpls?) containers. When I got home, we were missing the extra sauce and potato salad we ordered. The food was only lukewarm, so I don't think it was very hot to begin with. The chicken was tender and moist. The ribs were not fall off the bone type, but were pre-cut. The coleslaw was terrible. Salty, bland, and a bit sour. We ordered the mild sauce, it was sweet, but not great. The baked potatoes are half of a twice baked potato, which was just okay. Also disappointed the GetUpside app wouldn't work, as they don't have receipts that work for it. I don't recommend.
A mighty place!!! Their menu offerings are delicious and you get great portions for the price. They are doing awesome work there. Go check them out!
wow what a disappointment and on valentines day. my baby wanted ribs and our regular place down the road was closed so we got what tasted like store bought ribs that are microwaved slaw that was sour and discusting potatoe sucked rolls did too and the grilled chicken sandwich was a 2 out of 10. would not recomend to an enemy. going 2 blocks south to C&G is better....will be going there tomorrow since this place wasn't even close to bbq not to say good bbq

Ordered 2 quarter chickens for an amazing price! The food was really good! I'm from the south so I'm always skeptical about Northen BBQ, but I was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be back.One criticism: you should let people know that the potato has bacon in it. I don't eat pork and would have liked to know.
First visit. Didn't call ahead, big mistake. Only thing we wouldn't have to wait over 30 min for was the pulled pork sandwich. I did get the twice baked potato as an extra side. Not impressed with the potato or the cold slaw. Pulled pork was tasty and a good value. Would have liked to try the ribs or bbq 1/2 chicken, but probably not enough curiosity to bring me back when overall my two dining partners were less than impressed.
Rib specialists, I love their twice baked potatoes. Great staff. Classic hole in the wall. Take out - although one or two customers might fit.
