First time at Rojo Mexican Grill Westend. My wife and I had great appetizers: Avocado egg rolls with a honey cilantro dipping sauce. It was just awesome. Ceviche, loaded with shrimp, crab, tomatoes, onions, garlic, lime, avocado, jalapeño, cilantro (gluten free). It was so refreshing and tasting great. For dinner my wife had beef enchiladas with seasoned ground beef, roasted green chiles and onions, asadero and manchego cheese. Also included a green and red sauce.I had the meatloaf, with ground beef, chorizo, sausage, sautéed onions and topped with this out of the world oaxaca cream sauce. This dish had an unbelievable flavor. Both our dinners were great. We will definitely go back to try other great dishes.

The food was decent, Rojo is another version of Taco Bell. If you want authentic Mexican food, visit local Mexican restaurants. The rice they serve is sweet like too sweet, I’ve never had sweet Mexican rice. The “Jalisco” margarita I ordered was a shot of tequila on the rocks with a bit of lime juice, I had to ask for a sprite to mix it up and actually enjoy the drink. The fish tacos were decent and the chips and salsa as well but definitely not returning to Rojo, sorry but the food is very bland.

The server was great and the food was excellent!!!!

Great service, great food, great margaritas- loved it before a movie across the street

We visited there on a Saturday evening around 5 and the restaurant was out of chips. Our server was rude about it when we asked if more would be coming or what the deal was. At a Mexican restaurant, not having chips is a problem. One of the guests at the table walked over to the Cub Foods close by to purchase a bag of chips ourselves so we could enjoy the dips. Other guests at different tables saw us do this and began doing the same! Customers leaving tables to go buy chips from the grocery store close by…Once the chips were restocked, we were not offered any or given any discount on our food. It would have been nice to have a drink or two or potentially one of the dips on the house because so many tables had guests leaving to purchase chips elsewhere. At a higher end Mexican restaurant that falls on the pricier side, having complimentary chips and salsa should be a given every time. The fact that guests had to leave tables to go purchase their own bag of Tostitos is absurd.

Very disappointing experience

Great spot for drinks and food before a movie! Try not to inhale the chips and salsa!

Great servers. Great happy hour! The food was good. I had tacos and quesadillas.

We were seated too close to the kitchen where it was noisy and had a front row seat on them making guac which was awkward.
